We were lucky to catch up with Luis Felipe Rodriguez recently and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, Luis Felipe thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Can you share a customer success story with us?

One of the most successful stories I have experienced in my career has been with one of my long time clients, her name is Thalia Olvino. After working with her for more than a year we were able to accomplish her conoration as Miss Venezuela 2019 and she was able to represent our country in Miss Universe 2019. We worked really hard to get the confidence that she needed to hold the gaze of the audience and make her the star of the night. I was in charge of her whole appereance and coached her presence in a stage. We worked really hard during that year and we were able to have a phenomenal representation which landed her a spot in the first twenty women to move forward in the competition.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

Growing up I never imagined my life would look the way it does today. I was going to school for a major in Chemistry when I met some friends at school that worked in beauty pageants. I was invited to help as an assitant and that is when I started to fall in love with making people feel confident in their own skin. As time went by I started to get really good and a lot of people in higher possitions started to notice, shortly after I was hired in Miss Venezuela’s Organization as one of the main Stylists. From that moment on I have been in every pageant with the organization all around the globe. And today I am one of the most recognized makeup artist and stylist in my home country hoping to get the same recognizition in the United States which became my new home.

In the present time I provide personalized makeup classes and image consulatations for woman who want to feel more confident every day. I also do hair and makeup for beauty pageants, events, photographies etc. One of the things that I take pride in is that I will work with my customers passed the looks. I teach them how to wear their crowns and make them believe they deserve it, so when they look in the mirror they can see the empowerment that has always been there just needed some sparkle.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?

I started connecting with everyone in the media who had the same career goals as me. I would offer work and help for free to get some advertisement and hype on social media. After a while my following started to grow on its own and I would create content every day from my work to keep it current and growing.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?

My reputation is one of the most important things to me when it comes to my work. My work is my passion so I made sure everyone knew how serious I was. I would always be tne first one to get to work and if needed be i would practice hair styles etc the day before to get it perfect. I always made sure my connections were professional and congruent. Always looking for the next trend and making sure I would educate myself with the newest products and tendencies to keep my practice as current as possible.
