We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Lucy McNulty. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Lucy below.
Lucy, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’re complete cheeseballs and so we love asking folks to share the most heartwarming moment from their career – do you have a touching moment you can share with us?
When I first came to Akashic Record work it was to get over an ex (very philosophical, I know!).
I had been training in Holistic Counselling, working with cutting edge modalities such as Internal Family Systems, experiencing incredible shifts and healing – yet there was an undeniable pull calling me deeper, to a place that all of these powerful practices weren’t touching.
At the time, I had been struggling with love and relationships – I was a lover girl, wanted nothing more than to be in a loving relationship, although blatantly scared and avoidant of men at the same time…and unfortunately had continuous thoughts and dreams about my ex, after years.
It was a painful and confusing time, feeling stuck in this limbo that I couldn’t seem to break.
I didn’t know how to work through it – particularly, considering all the work I thought I was doing. I was jumping into deep trauma work, manifesting, cutting cords, Psych-K, you name it I probably tried it.
It wasn’t until I answered the call deeper and the Akashic Records entered my life in a meaningful way (we’re talking with a bang).
My teacher at the time told me of the past life connection I had with this soul (my ex) and how under traumatic circumstances we had made a promise to only love each other. Being an open, but skeptical person I took in what she was saying.
One thing was undeniable – I could feel her words, my body responded, I became emotional and I realised there might be something there.
I then completed the clearing process, and it was silence.
The continuous thoughts stopped, the dreams stopped, I had no pull to him whatsoever – I had no idea what this magic was or how to explain it but I was confronted with how powerful the Akashic Records are and how something that was untouched by so many things, seemed to be so easily resolved by the Akashic Clearing.
I find relationships of all kinds (to ourselves, each other, to the Divine) to be the cornerstone of a fulfilling life. I now, after no coincidence, attract many clients who are experiencing similar issues.
Now I spend my days helping other women untangle from these invisible threads, and let me tell you, the relief in their voices when they realise they’re not crazy or destined to pine after the ex forever, they’re just carrying energy from lifetimes they don’t even remember, it never gets old.
It’s like their whole body exhales, and witnessing that is something that warms my heart every single time.

Lucy, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I am an Akashic Record Reader, Holistic Counsellor & Intuitive Artist who supports those who may’ve struggled to find lasting solutions from traditional therapy or overtly spiritual practices.
With a blended background in Akashic Records, Intuitive Work, Holistic Counselling, Deep Trauma Processing (Aaruka Healing & Somatic Parts Work) and Energy Work, I help people who feel stuck, confused, or like something’s just off and are unable to move forward in the way they want.
I was welcomed into this work through life experience. I experienced complex trauma as a child which left me with deep emotional wounds, physical symptoms and being diagnosed with chronic illness at 17 years old.
I was intensely dissociated and felt violently ill daily – after being told I had Narcolepsy with no cure but stimulants everyday for the rest of my life I knew there had to be another way.
Within a year of my integrative healing practice I had no symptoms of my ‘incurable Narcolepsy’ and this ignited a deep passion for this work and the profound relief that is possible when we come home to ourselves and face our wounds.
Healing began to seem easeful, even the challenging parts were fun because I knew the power that lay underneath what I was doing. This motivation fuelled a fire in me to dive into extensive study and training for the next 10 years.
Now I am proud to support people who know there is more and want to dive deeper. I do this by diving into the bigger picture ~ past lives, energetic patterns, and the stories we carry without even realising it.
I help untangle the knots and get to the root of what’s holding them back. It’s about releasing past limiting patterns, making sense of who they are now, and helping them live a life that actually feels like their own, messy bits and all. It’s about coming home to yourself and using your experience as a path to move forward.
With both extensive training and lived experience of complex trauma, I understand the depths of difficult emotions and hold space for your full experience.
I’ve found that the deepest, most lasting shifts happen when we work holistically with the mind, body and energy body together. It’s about getting to the root of what’s stored in your system, we don’t just chat in my sessions – we do the deep work.
This is where real transformation happens – not just understanding your patterns, but actually shifting them.
Having honed my unique practice for almost a decade, I am proud to help others unlock powerful change and transformation in key areas of their relationships, careers, and greater life experience – and most importantly, their relationship to themselves.

Training and knowledge matter of course, but beyond that what do you think matters most in terms of succeeding in your field?
Developing confidence and trust in yourself.
This has been one of the biggest challenges on my journey. I approach my work with deep care and reverence – it is sacred to me, and I never take people’s trust lightly.
However, my intense desire to study and learn kept me in the “student” phase far longer than necessary. While having a strong foundation of training is important, experience develops your unique practice much more effectively than remaining on the studying path as a way to avoid stepping into your power.
The moment I began working with clients in one-on-one sessions and received feedback about how life changing this work was for them, it became much easier to set my fears aside. The desire to serve became far greater than my visibility wounds or perfectionist tendencies.
This isn’t to minimise how challenging these worries and patterns can be, particularly for highly sensitive people. But if I can offer one piece of advice, it’s this: Hold your integrity, but don’t hold yourself back out of fear that you’re not good enough. What you offer has the power to transform lives. People are waiting for you to find the confidence to step forward and say, “This is how I can help.”
I’m still constantly developing my practice and expanding my skillset, but this no longer holds me back or makes me feel inadequate because there’s “another training” to complete.
There will always be another training available – but what you have to offer right now is more valuable than you realise. You’ll become increasingly aware of this the more you step into your power and begin serving others.

If you could go back in time, do you think you would have chosen a different profession or specialty?
Absolutely, even though the beginning stages of starting a business can feel unstable, and those challenging days, while difficult, are completely normal. My deeper knowing tells me that I am called to this path: supporting people in coming home to themselves and guiding them through their transformation.
I understand this work better than anything else, and nothing fulfils me more. As an Akashic Record Reader, Holistic Counsellor, and Intuitive Artist, I wear multiple hats and serve in various ways. Whether through one-on-one sessions, group work, courses, or Women’s Circles, connecting and serving in this capacity lights me up and fills me with gratitude.
A key aspect of my practice is the connection to the Divine, which is woven through every single offering. Even in my one-on-one coaching, I am channeling and being guided to the processes that will best serve my clients’ intentions. Each time, I am struck by the intelligence of Divine support guiding our sessions.
I don’t need to have met any of my clients before preparing their sessions – I receive pages and pages of information about them. This is truly special and incredible, something that amazes not only them but continues to astound me. It serves as evidence of a Divine intelligence that constantly supports us.
Often, clients come to me after they’ve tried “everything” – all the therapy, inner work, cord cutting, manifestation practices – yet they still don’t feel resolution. They’re frequently referred by other practitioners who haven’t been able to help with chronic health issues, relationship problems, or other situations where something feels stuck.
Working with the Akashic Records allows me to operate at a deeper level and reach the root cause of experiences and situations that many conventional approaches cannot determine. Providing people with relief and hope after what has typically been a long and frustrating journey is something I feel truly honoured to offer.
The beauty of this work lies in its constant unfolding and evolution. It is fluid rather than fixed, and this flowing connection feels alive – like a true partnership. The ways I can help people are constantly expanding, and honestly, I remain in awe of this work.
