We recently connected with Luciph and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Luciph thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Do you wish you had started sooner?
Sooner, 10000% but what’s done is done and what you’ve done led you to where you are. It all went perfectly, even if it’s nice to think about if I started my own music from a young age, it took what I went through to be where I am. Now I just want to see where I can go with this music thing. I always had a music background and played some instruments going up like a little clarinet and guitar but nothing too crazy. I had to go through a lot of phases of music and a lot of different artists to find what made me decide I wanted to do music as well. It’s one of those things you think is a fairly tale but once you realize you can maybe do it too, you fall in love with making music and just wonder what could’ve been if you found the passion of creating music before in life. But still, I’m happy it’s turned out as it has and my fire for music and creation still burns bright
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I moved back to Vegas to help my younger brother get out of things I used to be into. One thing I did was get us a basic little home studio and he started to make beats, wanting to make EDM but realizing how complex it was, he started with making hip hop and rap beats and we started to freestyle for fun, eventually we got our friends to join in and people said I was pretty good so we just kept going and plan on continuing to just go and grow.
We make alternative style music and bounce around in vibe and emotion. The main goal being conveying emotion and getting darkness out through music, a healthy outlet. I just want to grow as a vocalist, songwriter, artist/musician, and person all together and my brother my producer wants the same for him with his side of music. We just want to continue learning and getting better and connecting with those who do this.
We use music and art to channel out darkness and truly love making music and listening to music. Life is vibration and we try to heal the world through the frequency we tune our music to and try to connect with those who are in darkness. Being an antihero isn’t a bad thing. You can have bad qualities and still be a good person and better yourself and those around you whilst accepting who you are.
We recently made merch for Cult¿Sure! Our brand and have it linked to our Songwhip and Spotify. We are working on scheduling up a few more releases and a new EP coming in October. Music videos, more merch, everything.
Accept and embrace yourself, love your life, be good to people, trust your own word, create your own path.
What can society do to ensure an environment that’s helpful to artists and creatives?
Give them a space to be creative. Give them places to learn and expand their horizons. Artists are important and different types of people who typically learn in differing ways. We need to create a place young aspiring artists can be supported and maybe scouted and to hone their skills and learn basic business for their venture and to not get taken advantage of. To use a lot of live music at events and to support local artists as much as possible especially aspiring level.
To connect artists to the people that they may build a bond and grow alongside their hometown local artists working to represent them and build a following.
More events and live music, more local artist exposure and collaboration, more freedom to express different styles and sounds of music and art, less harsh criticism aka just hate of something you aren’t used to or someone trying their dreams. Constructive criticism more than welcome.
Artists supporting their communities and others artists and vice versa.
Is there mission driving your creative journey?
To gain influence and to be heard. To Hone my expression through vibration aka music and to be appreciated as a musician. To be that entity that I needed in my darkest times for others. To show you can make it and become so much more even coming from the darkness and no money. You can still become what you desire.
