We recently connected with Luciana Romagnoli and have shared our conversation below.

Luciana, appreciate you joining us today. What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?

Everyone has their own view on what they think it means to be successful. For me personally, success is a little bit of many things combined: having a profitable business I’m passionate about, my own schedule, a home and a loving, healthy family, peace of mind, being healthy and staying fit, to name a few. It doesn’t matter what your meaning of success is, the journey to get there is the same for everyone.
First things first, you must set a goal. Being determined and consistent are two main factors that will help you get there. Are you willing to show up even when you don’t want to? Are you willing to shut off your phone and set away any distractions to fully focus on your goal?
I truly believe that keeping a positive attitude and learning from your mistakes will help you reach your goals a lot quicker. The road to success is not easy, there’s going to be a lot of ups and downs, but it’s how you react when you’re down, that will determine how quickly you get back up. When I made the decision to embark on my journey with my online boutique, I made so many mistakes. I still do. No one ever handed me a manual with instructions on how to have a successful business, but it’s what I learned along the way that has gotten me to where I am today, and I must say, I’ve come a long way from when I first started five years ago.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

I come from a corporate background with over nine years of experience in finance. Although I had a promising future ahead of me, I always knew I wanted to be my own boss. I decided to open an online boutique for women’s clothing, and it turned out to be one of the best (and bravest) decisions I’ve ever made. Elite Styles Boutique offers a wide variety of clothing for women looking to feel sexy and confident while also staying comfortable. We provide dresses, sets, rompers and jumpsuits, tops and bottoms, swimwear, accessories, etc. It really is a one-stop shop! We are online based providing free shipping on orders over $50, but we also offer a same-day pick-up option for our local babes in Miami. Our quality is top-notch and we ship immediately!

What else should we know about how you took your side hustle and scaled it up into what it is today?

Yes, my side hustle turned into my now full-time business. As previously mentioned, I worked in finance for nine years, but it wasn’t until last year that I decided to put my career to the side and fully dedicate myself to my passion– my boutique. I launched Elite Styles five years ago and was doing well with managing both, however I knew that if I really wanted to scale my business, then I would need to go all in.
I left my corporate job in August 2023. On October 2023, I had my highest five-figure month. This was confirmation that I had made the right choice.

Are there any books, videos, essays or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?

I’m huge on personal development and I listen to several podcasts a week, specifically on my daily drives to and from my warehouse. Some of the speakers who have had a huge impact on my entrepreneurial way of thinking are Ed Mylett, Eric Thomas and Gary Vee. They all serve a different purpose but really help me shift my mindset in the right direction when I’m feeling demotivated or having “one of those days”.
