Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Lucero Adame Luna . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Lucero thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
The story behind my mission is to inspire women that we can be our own boss ,entrepreneurs while being a stay at home mom, a mom with a side hustle, a mom with a special needs child. A single mom, a single woman with the ambition of succeeding in life for a better future for our kids/ourselves.
Like the favorite quote says :
“ You Can Find Me Somewhere In Between Inspiring Others,
Working On Myself,
Dodging Negativity,
& Slaying On My Goals”

Lucero , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Lucero A Luna. Mom of 2 handsome boys & a beautiful daughter that is diagnosed with 15q Syndrome.
I’ve been in the beauty industry for 6+ years.
I went to cosmetology school in Poway called Bellus Academy.
That’s where my passion in the makeup industry grew more.
I participated in all the school events that had to do with doing makeup for example
Middle & High school career day makeup demos,
military ball,
Special needs Prom(this event will always have a special place in my heart because I myself have a daughter with special needs),
I competed in Trendvision (finalist),
Joined SD Fashion Week,
I have done makeup for morning segments (TV News for fashion week)
After beauty school I worked at a salon as a receptionist/assistant for a year.
I also worked at Bellus Academy for 3 years as a Makeup instructor.
Worked home based/traveling to location for 5years.
To now having a makeup studio/shop called
Luna Glam Studio in Escondido where I do Makeup & hairstyling for all events & sell beauty products/accessories (Strip lashes, Hair Extensions, Glitters, you name it!)
It’s been a bless full & amazing year at
Luna Glam Studio.
Starting in the beauty industry I knew I wanted to specialize in Quinceañeras (Sweet 15).
That’s when I went for it & started participating in Quinceañera Expos to expose myself, my brand, my work. I started promoting my self on a quinceañera magazine and little by little started getting fully booked with quinceañeras.
What sets me apart is that I get to inspire, motivate, share my story of being a special needs mom + being a business owner.
Let me tell you it is not easy.
I may have a million breakdowns everyday but I raise my chin up high because all of this, all my sweat, tears, all my falls are for my kids especially for my daughter Veronica that is diagnosed with 15q syndrome.
I get to be there every moment, every step. I get to be my own boss, make my own hours to be able to care for her needs while still being a business owner succeeding for a better and bigger future for my kids.
I am proud of how far I have come these past years.
I put my all so my clients can have the best time in my chair & walk out even more confident for their special occasion.
I am thankful for all my clients that choose me, for all their recommendations, the connections I make with each client, & for all my clients that keep in touch/grow a bond with my daughter Veronica.
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
My professionalism, stepping out of my comfort zone, marketing at big events, magazines, networking with other colleagues, different vendors.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
Word of mouth. All my clients that book me for their events got recommended by someone who had gotten services done by me and let me know how my last clients were so happy with their services. It puts the biggest smile on my face hearing all the amazing feedback!
