Loyal, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?

At the age of 7 I knew I wanted to pursue entertainment. I would go to auditions and even sign up for school talent shows just trying to make myself seen by whoever would pay attention.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

Shout out to YouTube, because outside of doing talent shows, showcases, etc. I would display a lot of my talent on the platform. Those videos caught the attention from my peers at the school I was attending at that time, and eventually teachers would hear about what’s going on and one day the counselor approached me with information about getting free studio time at this program and the rest was history. I spent years going to this afterschool program that offered entertainment business classes and that’s where I got my first taste of what it’s like being in the music industry. I attended the Grammy museums music program for a summer and had the opportunity to perform in the Clive Davis Theater for a showcase.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?

In life we all have time stamps and being a music artist I get to create music that often times becomes the soundtrack to someone’s life experience. Rather it’s an experience for couples. Families, friends, and even films, in some way shape form or fashion I get to be apart of that. Which is dope in my eyes.

Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative?

It’s an exhilarating feeling when you create something that once didn’t exist and watch it physically, mentally, and emotionally have an impact on people that genuinely gives my music a chance. The feeling is nearly impossible to describe, but it’s a feeling you never get tired of. You just keep chasing it.
