We were lucky to catch up with Love Walker recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Love thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?
The first time I knew I wanted to pursue a creative and artistic path professionally was when I did my first self-tape for a film. I thought it was a commercial through a modeling gig, which came from someone very prominent in the industry. The more I read the lines, the more I realized it was a film and not a short commercial with one or two lines. When I acted it out, it felt amazing. It wasn’t because I was able to escape from myself or reality—I love myself and I love my reality. It was because I had an opportunity to relate to the viewers through films and projects while being honest with my feelings and actions.
Many times in life, we want to do things only because they look or sound good. My life goal was not to be a creative. I just wanted to be a business owner and entrepreneur, and that was it. I had been modeling since I was 10, but I stopped because I got bored of it. Then I got re-scouted at a time when I got to know who I was and understood my style, and it meant much more to me. With music production, I got to find my own sound and have fun with it, and acting just feels amazing. It occurred to me, why not continue to do these things professionally—it’s fun.
When you do all the things you love, you do them for your enjoyment, and since it is your enjoyment and not solely for the validation of others because you can only get your validation from God, then the viewers and listeners will enjoy it as well. This is something my acting coach Vince always points out to me. The most important part is that when you do things for your enjoyment, you practice and perfect them consistently . It’s a similar concept to my MMA training—it doesn’t matter how great, how many high-ranking belts you earn, how naturally talented you are at it, or how early you started; you keep hitting the mats.
Although I’m very new to the public as an actress and solo music producer, I have been honest with myself, and I take time to perfect my crafts and polish them before presenting them to the public. I know the purpose of being a creative is to serve the people your best because you enjoy and care about your crafts. That’s when I was certain I am doing this path professionally.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I wish I had the answer to how I got into my creative works. I wish I could say it’s always been my lifelong dream. However, I got into my creative works through curiosity. I gave it a try and ended up loving it more than any other profession. I believe my creative works found me, and I’m happy it did. I take care of my creative works by working hard, working smart, practicing, loving, and respecting my craft.
First, I want readers to know that I appreciate them for reading, and I send them love. Second, I am happy and grateful to be an actress, music producer, and model. Therefore, I am committed to continuously improving my skills, embracing new opportunities, and inspiring others through my work. My passion drives me to excel in each of these fields, and I am excited to see how successfully far my journey takes me.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
My mission and goal as a creative are to help grow other people’s careers in some aspect after growing my own career. The more I grow, the more resources I can share. My other mission is to use my voice for good and inspire those who are demotivated and/or discouraged and to do as much . I have so much love and energy—why not share it?

Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative? Maybe you can provide some insight – you never know who might benefit from the enlightenment.
Non-creatives may not understand that, as a creative, I have to put in countless hours of practice, going over lines, receiving coaching, and perfecting drums and EQ in my music production. They may not realize that investing in oneself and investing in a project requires a creative to sacrifice a lot of time and effort. This dedication is often unseen and unappreciated, but it is essential for honing our craft and achieving our artistic goals.
