We were lucky to catch up with Louise White recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Louise , thanks for joining us today. Learning the craft is often a unique journey from every creative – we’d love to hear about your journey and if knowing what you know now, you would have done anything differently to speed up the learning process.
Throughout my life I’ve always been full of energy. lots of fun and a very bubbly person. I’m a flamboyant character, with lots of personality, and there is not one person who I meet that says, “ you should be on TV”
It’s never really interested me or crossed my mind to even try it out, until one person I knew in the industry gave me the chance to take me out of my comfort zone.
Walks Around Britain was the biggest challenge, it’s a national TV programme in the UK with 50 millions viewers, 22 UK channels and on PBS America. Filming the beautiful UK locations for walks and its wonderful historic inheritance.
This was the hardest challenge for me, as I had to learn the craft working hard to keep that representation and not lose viewers I had to do a lot of research and practice in front of the camera.before been let lose on national television.
After a few times of presenting I felt comfortable with the cameras and was raring to go…..
As my love grew for TV I decided to get myself out there into acting and I was approached by a female Director called Diana Firefly, who ask me to be in two films of hers Dagon Troll Chronicles alongside Tim Curry and Blood Brothers Life Harvest.
I jumped at the chance and flew out to the USA . I met some great inspirational people and learned a lot I also have many projects on the go at the moment so who knows where I will be I could be in Hollywood collecting my Oscar or here in the UK collecting a BAFTA.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Working within the media industry for over 22 years for many well established publishers one been Warner Brothers, I had the opportunity to build up many contacts.
When the publishing industry changed around 2010 where many magazines where classed as “dead” and many creative publishes saw digital as the way forward I decided to set up my own PR and press business which is still active to this day.
I work with many celebrities from all over the UK and abroad which comes from my journalistic background I’ve met some fantastic people Carrie Grant, Sian Reeves, Cheryl Fergison, Scot Atkins and many more.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
Having a career in journalism and acting is a form of communication . Portraying different characters and acting out scenes can be a very enjoyable process, especially when an actor has positive relationships with their cast members.
Its a great way to get your personal point across, whether that’s something you strongly believe in or disagree with.
Entertaining your audience can be the most rewarding. Getting a reaction whether someone is crying, laughing or smiling you know from their reaction you have done your job by portraying your character in a certain way and making that journey a remembered one

Are there any books, videos or other content that you feel have meaningfully impacted your thinking?
Studying at one of the top universities in London gave me a great insight to how the creative industry works.
This had significant impact on my creative career learning about each sector magazines, film and photography, helped me understand what is expected of me within the industry, and I’m a great believe this is why I’ve been so successful within the industry.
