We were lucky to catch up with Louis Tran recently and have shared our conversation below.
Louis, appreciate you joining us today. Getting that first client is always an exciting milestone. Can you talk to us about how you got your first customer who wasn’t a friend, family, or acquaintance?
I was a receptionist for the nail salon,of course i didn’t get my license at that time. One of the lady came to ask for FIXING her nails, all of the nail techs were busy at that time,i had no choice to help because she was in hurry. That’s illegal to do her nails without license, but she was really happy after i fixed her nails,i told her the true that I don’t have a license, she GAVE ME A PUSH- ASK ME TO GO TO SCHOOL AND GET MY LICENSE,i will be successful with this job. Finally I DID and I AM GOING ON MY OWN FEET. Appreciate it!!!
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
People don’t have to like you
People don’t have to love you
They don’t even have to respect you
But when you look at your nails
You better love what you see
YOU BETTER LOVE WHAT YOU SEE….
Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
After i left my old workplace, i was totally get lost. I didn’t know what to do,i can’t apply the new job next door because i don’t want to pull all of the clients to the new nail salon,it would really hurt the feelings of the old owner that i used to work for. I stayed at home 3 months without working and have no income. People found me on Facebook,we keep in touch, they helped me find a place to work, start over with my own suite right now. I’m really appreciate everything that my clients did for me!!!!
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
