We were lucky to catch up with Loryn Sheahan recently and have shared our conversation below.
Loryn, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?
I believe success requires a blend of authenticity, perseverance, and alignment with purpose. It takes showing up as your TRUE SELF, trusting the process even in challenging times, and staying deeply connected to your core values. Success also requires clear communication (even when difficult), a mindset of growth and learning, and the courage to step out of comfort zones. For me, it’s not just about the money and achieving goals (although important and who doesn’t love it), but creating meaningful/lasting impact, building trust, and living in a way that inspires and uplifts others.
Loryn, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I’m Loryn, a Professionally Certified Sound Healer, coach, mentor, public speaker, and business parter with a passion for helping others discover the light within themselves. My journey into this field has been deeply personal and profoundly rewarding. Over the years, I’ve blended my love for communication, mindfulness, and healing into a unique craft that uplifts and transforms lives.
My journey into Sound Healing actually started while I was on bedrest with my now 3.5 year old son back in 2021. Mentally I was struggling. Physically I was struggling. Spiritually..you guessed it..I was struggling. I needed a way to come back to myself and work on my mindset, not just for me, but for my unborn baby as well. After attending an in person Sound Bath and listening to MULTIPLE virtual experiences, I knew this was the path for me. By witnessing and experiencing first hand the profound impact this practice had on my own life, I knew I wanted to share it with others.
Today, I guide individuals and groups through deeply immersive experiences of Sound Healing (and often times combining the experience with Breathwork – more on that later) to create a space where growth and healing can flourish.
What Sets Me Apart
What makes my work special is the integration of multiple modalities—whether it’s the soothing resonance of crystal bowls during a sound healing session, the transformative power of guided breathwork, or the inspiration shared during a keynote. My approach is rooted in authenticity, love, trust, and my connection in God, which drives me to serve others with purpose and intention.
Together with my business partner, Ashley, we offer a combined breathwork and sound healing journey designed to help people reset, reconnect, and rise. We specialize in creating powerful and safe spaces for our clients to release, heal, and rediscover themeselves.
Proudest Accomplishments
What fills me with the most pride is seeing the transformations in my clients and getting to work with my best friends by my side. We were just in Orlando, FL facilitating Breath + Sound for over 80 men and women and have been asked by really big name influencers to partner with them as well. It’s in these moments, of witnessing not only the deep transformation of my clients, but also myself, that keep me motivated.
Another point of pride is my work integrating horses with healing, which combines my love for animals and my passion for helping others. It’s a unique way to foster connection, mindfulness, and growth in a serene, natural environment.
What I Want You to Know
Above all, I want you to know that my mission and really souls purpose, is to be a light for others. I’m here to remind you of the power and potential you already have within you. My work is about creating experiences that inspire, heal, and empower you to step fully into your purpose.
If you’re looking for an experience that combines creativity, growth, and a little bit of magic, I’d be honored to work with you.
Can you tell us the story behind how you met your business partner?
Do we have 10 minutes? No? Ok I’ll try to make it short.
Ashley and I met 10 years ago, 2014, when we both worked at the same golf course as bev cart girls and bartenders. We worked for an entire summer together and maybe spoke about 5 words to each other the entire summer season.
The reason being was because we had formed opinions of one another in our minds without actually knowing each other. I thought she was rude, she thought I was annoying. (This goes to show that you should NEVER judge someone based on your own personal experiences and to instead take the time to get to know them)
Fast forward to November 2018, I noticed Ashley was doing a gratitude challenge on Facebook and so I reached out to her because I needed some positivity in my life. I actually looked back on Facebook Messenger for you all. My exact message to her was “Hey Ashley, can you give me more info about your post about attraction marketing?” HOW CRINGEY?! LOL
And the rest is really history. Turns out she wasn’t rude, and I wasn’t that annoying ;) Just two young kids who were lost and longed sisterhood and friendship but didn’t know that that answer was directly in front of them all along.
In 2019 we joined a Network Marketing Company
In 2020 we started an online facebook community called The Empowered Movement which then was rebranded to Empowered leaders in 2021
In 2022 we hosted our first In Person women’s Conference for 125 women
In Summer 2023 we hosted our second In person women’s Conference for 150 women
In Fall 2023 Ash (breathwork) and I (sound healing) both unplanned but so aligned, joined our certification programs
In Fall 2023 we also co-hosted a retreat in Tulum, MX together.
In 2024 we hosted our third in person MEN AND WOMEN Conference for 175 people around the country
Also in 2024 we created an online Breath + Sound Membership, traveled to multiple city’s and states to facilitate and now combine our passion for community, healing and growth in every experience we do.
She’s more than my business partner, she’s my sister, my best friend, my person and I’m so grateful to do life and business with her.
Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
One of the most transformative lessons I’ve had to unlearn is the belief that my worth was tied to external validation. Anyone else? For much of my life, I measured my value by how others perceived me—whether it was through accomplishments, praise, or approval. I believed that if I worked hard enough, achieved enough, or pleased others enough, I would finally feel worthy. I placed my worth in the hands of others.
But the reality was far different. Chasing external validation became exhausting and unsustainable. The more I relied on others to define my worth, the more disconnected I felt from my true self. I was changing my personality to fit in, even to the extent of changing my laugh and hair so I “fit in more and was liked better”. Eventually, I realized that this pattern wasn’t serving me; instead, it was holding me back from fully stepping into my purpose and authenticity.
The turning point came through my journey with sound healing, breathwork, and mindfulness. These practices taught me how to look inward, connect with my soul, and recognize the light within me. I began to understand that my worth isn’t something that can be given or taken by others—it’s innate and unconditional and lies WITHIN ME!
Unlearning this belief was a process of letting go, redefining success, and learning to trust myself. It’s something I continue to practice daily, especially as I guide others on their own healing journeys. Today, I know that true worth comes from embracing who I am, not what I achieve or how others perceive me.
This lesson has not only changed my life but has also shaped the way I work with clients. I aim to create spaces where people can reconnect with their true selves and realize they’ve always been enough—just as they are.
