Loretta, appreciate you joining us today. Before we get into specifics, let’s talk about success more generally. What do you think it takes to be successful?
Success is a journey that is often paved with challenges and obstacles. As someone who wears both the hat of a nurse and a business owner, I’ve come to understand the true meaning of achieving greatness. It all begins with a passion that propels us forward. This passion becomes our guiding light, gives us purpose and inspires others.
Passion alone is not enough. Resilience is important too, It helps us bounce back from setbacks and pushes through self-doubt. As a nurse, I’ve witnessed the incredible strength and determination of my patients, and that has fueled my own resilience in the face of adversity. It’s that unwavering belief in ourselves that allows us to rise above any challenge that comes our way.
Along the journey, we learn the importance of adaptability. Just like in healthcare, the business world is constantly evolving. Being open to change and embracing new ideas allows us to stay ahead. We need to see challenges as opportunities for growth and transformation and use them as stepping stones to reach new heights.
Perhaps the most vital ingredient in the recipe for success is a strong support network. As nurses, we know the power of teamwork and collaboration. Similarly, as business owners, having a circle of like-minded individuals, mentors, and a supportive community makes all the difference. They provide encouragement during tough times and remind us that we’re not alone in this pursuit of our dreams.

We started our business in the midst of the pandemic as a response to the needs of the community. It all began with a handful of masks in April 2020. Over time, we’ve added protective scrubcaps, scrubhats, and stylish wristlets to the collection. Rising to the occasion during a supply shortage was no easy feat but resilience was key.
What makes our items different is that they are made by nurses and designed for comfortable long wear. They are also breathable, washable, durable and reusable. It’s ideal for you to use every day. Wear it while working, outdoors or indoors. It can be worn while traveling, running errands, attending appointments, or exercising etc.
As a nurse and business owner, what I am most proud of is the impact I have on people’s lives. In my role as a nurse, seeing patients recover, finding solace in their smiles, and knowing I played a part in their healing journey fills me with immense joy. As a business owner, witnessing the growth and success of my venture, knowing that I am making a positive difference in the community, fills me with a sense of fulfillment that words cannot fully express. These moments of pride remind me why I chose this path and inspire me to keep going.

I absolutely love the fact that I have built a substantial social media presence and have been able to showcase and sell my handmade items on multiple ecommerce platforms. It has been an incredible journey filled with learning, growth, and connection. What makes me most proud is the ability to share my talents with a wide audience and witness the positive impact it has on people’s lives.
