We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Lorenzo Minoli a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Lorenzo, thanks for joining us today. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.
My Bible series earned me few awards such as Prime Time Emmy, Christopher’s Award and few more. But what I learned, and this is the most important thing, was how to transform a very Italian/European project into an American reality. It has been a process of “education” and of patient negotiations. At the end I have been successful in transforming into an American reality a Italian/European idea preserving the Italian/European authenticity and at same time adding the American take. I believe that this is a very unusual ability that can applied to almost every business.
Now I am dedicated to my work as an artist. And the very essence of my work is to offer to my audience the emotional experience created by the small thing of nature that surround us.

Lorenzo, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
In my actual line of work I offer from one side a creative, chromatic and emotional solution for the “emptiness” of spaces and from the other side I provide a final complement to the creative process of designing spaces
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
It is the freedom. Being a creative person allows me to be myself without limitation. It allows me to to bring to the surface the essence of what I need and want to share. It requires a good dose of self confidence and in a way of arrogance.
The arrogance of believing that what I have to offer can be relevant for the audience. I firmly believe that every and each one of us has a “message” to leave to humanity and that is the essence of our experiences.
I am convinced that the emotions that I represent with my work offer the possibility of moments of peace, of tranquillity and in a way they offer the opportunity to explore the colorful and peaceful immensity of the nature that surrounds us and that we risk to miss because of our stressful lives.
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
Immortality. I am driven by the idea of immortality: the emotions that I offer with my work should allow each one of us to take a “trip” within ourselves and discover the immortality of our being that survives our body.
