We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Lord Alpha. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Lord below.
Alright, Lord thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s jump to the end – what do you want to be remembered for?
I hope that I leave behind enough to where my children and their children don’t have to worry about money as much as I did as well as live in places like I have with less than adequate opportunities, along with that I hope that my music touches people’s hearts across the globe regardless of nationality, age or living standard, my dream is to make good music and have everyone listen, hopefully when I pass on to the afterlife I can have accomplished that dream, music is eternal even when I move on I hope to be remembered through it.
Lord, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Ryan Coffman better known as “Lord Alpha” I’ve been making music for close to 10 years, I started in 2014 by myself in my room with no microphone or computer making songs off a app called Bandlab on my phone, since then I’ve upgraded to a PC and a professional condenser microphone and have learned a lot about producing my own music, I started a group called “GlobalSmokePosse” in 2018 and was recording and editing all of the music released by each member of the group, there was about 16 members in the group but since then it’s dwindled to around 4 members due to people moving, in fighting drama & other personal reasons, I’ve worked with other artists such as the members Stinx47 & Dsari from “Distracted Crew”, Lovekilss from the band “DopeSick”, Nate Brady a Milwaukee native & plenty others, in the past 10 years i have seen growth but am striving to stay growing positively through a strong work ethic and continuing innovations within the music
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
Back when I first started making music there was about 200 people that would listen to my songs, around a year or two afterwards I only had around 50, regardless of that I was determined to keep following my dream and continue making music regardless of how many people heard it, I still have that mindset to this day, no matter what I make music for myself because I want to not because of how many people are listening
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
How I build my audience is being persistent to say the least, I try to upload music every 2 weeks and if I do take longer I’m sure to have something extra coming along with it, my idea behind this is to stay on the mind of the listener and to show my dedication and work ethic, while some people upload music once every few months I have quadruple the amount in the same amount of time, while I do this I also try out different styles and genres to keep it all fresh and I think the people that listen to me enjoy the fact that it’s always unknown what type of stuff I have coming out
