We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Lorayna Woodley a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Lorayna , appreciate you joining us today. Has your work ever been misunderstood or mischaracterized?
Most definitely. In the beginning of my Spiritual Journey, I used to give and share so much. I often found myself sacrificing my peace and happiness for others. When I noticed this pattern I pulled back from giving and went within to figure out why I was giving so much in the first place. There was a lot of speculation about why I stopped and took a break. In life especially with social media people can be demanding and expecting of others without realizing what they are dealing with. I say all this to say to respect one’s work you must respect the Creator.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I am a mother, a leader, a priestess, a lover, and divinity. I initially began creating jewelry and selling spiritual products such as sage and smudge supplies. I then briefly migrated to doing tarot readings but through that I discovered my true passion was motivating others to step into their authenticity and become the best version of themselves. I offer my clients the ability to step fully into their power, no longer allowing their gifts to lie dormant and push them to embrace what life has for them. My content will assist one in embracing their truth becoming the best version of themselves and truly living the life that they desire. I am proud of the turnaround I’ve seen people go from dismissing their gifts to being unapologetic. Going from the black sheep to the goat we all have magic within us but its up to us to find it.
How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
I’m actually pivoting now. I noticed the last arena I was in I met people who didn’t have the purest intentions and had ulterior motives when it came to my business. It ended up draining my energy and affecting my overall health. With the assistance of the most High God I had to find a way to migrate my passion and self care. When I nourish myself it allows me to attract what is in alignment with me.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
Definitely. Last year I experienced multiple fake pages on my social media platforms pretending to be me. It was quite discouraging. I prayed about it and kept it pushing. When you are doing something good to help the collective a lot of times there will be people who are not too happy about that. Most people call them haters, but I just say they’re really our biggest supporters. Anyone deliberately attempting to tarnish another person’s platform is just confirming how powerful and impactful you are.
