We caught up with the brilliant and insightful London Dior a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi London, thanks for joining us today. If you could go back in time do you wish you had started your business sooner or later?
If I could go back in time , I would most definitely start my ugc and content creating earlier , I wouldn’t have let fear over come me so much . I started doing content creating around 2022 , and honestly I was just showcasing my make up and I was receiving so much praise from higher places but the fear and having to go through life itself really overshadowed the thought of even researching the field itself but when I finally did start I was at rock bottom , I was staying with my mom again , I had moved back home to Memphis where I was raised and I had just received the news that I would soon be a mom , via close friend , and one night while laying on the floor at my moms house after hours of being in able to go to sleep I had sunken myself into PR unboxings and all of a sudden all I could think is …. If Becky , and susan can do it …. What’s stopping me ? And from that point forward I started taking ugc seriously at the time I was working for ulta beauty and it worked out for the best they gave me a beekman 1802 set in gratis and that was one of my first videos recorded on tik tok if I could change anything it would be how long I waitied
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
So start the story of telling you about myself my name is London P Dior 💕💫. I am originally from Memphis Tennessee. My real name is Sierra Jackson , I specialize in ugc content creation with the areas of lifestyle , beauty , health and self care ! I’m also a freelance makeup artist my artistry background comes from me, teaching myself to do make up and then enforcing it via video YouTube anything that I was able to get my hands on that’s how I learned makeup and I
Reassured myself with working at many popular retailers like sephora and Ulta I learned tricks and tips from them and as far as ugc , that also was self taught . I researched and watched endless hours of other creators and pr unboxings to not only learn but to take notes of mannerisms , brand opportunities and anything else I can put together. UGC and beauty content creating takes a lot of discipline ,for the first year I put myself on a strict 5:00am start schedule : I was up by five and posting my morning video , dressed by six and shooting my first clip by seven. For my clients I start as early as I can just because I play the middle man in ugc , I’m the business owners window to the public . For me what sets me apart from others is that I’m self taught and every post you see on my social media are all accomplished by me I have no management team , I manage myself I’m super proud of not only that but that it’s taken me as far as it has , I thank God for it everyday honestly and the biggest thing I wish for my future clients to know is that I’m thankful, you could’ve chosen anyone but you choose me and I hold that near and dear to my heart , it’s more than thinking I’m pretty or oh she does good work it’s trusting me with your business marketing ; that’s a huge investment and makes a even bigger statement.
Is there mission driving your creative journey?
My particular goal is to eventually open more businesses in my name and start working closely with brands to specialize on being more inclusive towards woman of color and the things we need and desire all while becoming a beauty business tycoon

I remember at one point I had no work coming to me and nobody responding to my email pitching , I’d have to say it was one of the most humbling moments in my life , I actually remember praying to God to show me if I was going the rite way , at the time I had finally moved back to Houston after my Daughter was born and I lost my job almost as soon as I made it back it was heartbreaking but it sat me down at home , while I was their I focused on ugc and getting my name out because that was all I had ,even with nobody answering me ! I still continued, I actually signed up for school around that time to give myself a even bigger push and funny enough it worked out , with that being said , don’t be afraid when you don’t get an automatic response KEEP GOING
