We were lucky to catch up with Logan Stacer recently and have shared our conversation below.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I’m most proud about my work with my 501c3, Heartland Arts KC. It’s an arts advocacy based organization that trains performing artists to be advocates for social justice.
Heartland Arts KC provides local artists with masterclasses to improve their own skills, partnerships with local leaders to serve Kansas City, and space to showcase original work and build a following. PLUS, WE PAY THEM!
I think there’s a gap between having true talent and using it for good. We try to bridge that gap by plugging talented artists into conversations that are impacting Kansas City and, essentially, seeing what happens.
In 2023, we’ll be focusing on KC’s Climate Protection and Resiliency Plan, so comedians, poets, actors, dancers, etc. will come together and create original work that speaks to climate justice in Kansas City.
