We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Logan Massengale. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Logan below.
Logan, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?
The greatest risk I have taken in my career thus far has been choosing to go all in to pursue it full time and moving back to Nashville while temporarily living out of my car essentially. I grew up in the Nashville area and lived there until May of 2024 when I decided to start over and move to Knoxville, TN. I erased all my social medias, had the internet scrubbed and moved out there knowing no one except some immediate family who lived in the area to start fresh with no one knowing anything about me or my past accomplishments until I personally told them. My hope was I’d move there and develop a close relationship with my blood family, establish my new business consulting company and hopefully find a wife. I had no interest in being back in the public eye or doing anything in entertainment. But after countless failed attempts with my business consulting company while I was there, I was desperate to find something to gain momentum and build on. Then in April of 2025 a gentleman named Jim Johnson, whom I had met one time when I first moved to the area in 2024, messaged me on my new facebook asking if I’d be interested in helping out in a scene of this hallmark style Christmas movie they were filming in Knoxville. I had no interest at all. But, I felt a push inside me to just say yes and do it anyways. So, I show up on set and go with the flow. At the end of filming that day Jim pulled me aside and asked me if I had ever considered doing acting full time. I laughed and said no chance. He looked at the director then back at me and said he believed that I had what it took to be something special and that he would help me, if I’d allow it. I felt that push again and said let’s do it. Next thing I know I hit my hot streak and was blessed to do 21 different film productions within the next 2 months and was in Nashville almost every day. I was either staying in a hotel, sleeping on someone’s couch or sleeping in my car. I lost almost every relationship and friendship I had back in Knoxville when I began going back to Nashville but I knew in my soul that this was my purpose. So, I moved back with no support system in Nashville and continued my rise in the entertainment space. Flash forward almost one year, I am now learning to sing country music, still acting and modeling, have been labeled the Nashville Cowboy with a Hallmark look, been blessed to receive a few achievements and built one heck of a community here. The biggest lesson, take the risk or lose the chance! Bet on yourself and chase that dream. YOU are worth it!

Logan, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m Logan Massengale, an artist, entertainer, and entrepreneur focused on using my talents, story, and platform to inspire hope, resilience, and redemption. My journey into this industry didn’t come from a straight line or an easy road. It came through immense adversity, rebuilding, and learning how to turn pain into purpose.
Over my 35 years, I’ve worn many hats: football player, Sniper, business owner, consultant, model, actor, public speaker, and now stepping into the country music scene. At the center of everything I do is connection. Whether I’m performing a song, acting in a role, speaking to a crowd, or creating content online, my hope is to always make people feel seen, encouraged, and reminded that your past does not define you.
What I spend most of my extra time on now is enjoying meaningful conversations with people over cigars and learning this country music thing and making music that people can feel in their soul. I’m still actively acting, modeling and doing spokesperson and mental health advocacy work, where I love bringing golden retriever energy, emotional depth, and authenticity to every project.
What sets me apart the most is not my 6’8 height or big personality but rather, it’s my story. I went through loss and darkness that most can’t fathom and at most points, I survived alone. But instead of being a victim of my circumstances, I chose to fight and survive and become a light in the darkness for others.
I know what it’s like to lose everything and everyone you’ve ever loved, to be misunderstood, to be forced to start over alone, and to keep believing in hope. I’m not trying to present perfection, I want to represent resilience. I want people to see a man who got hit by life but still chose to rise and carry the fight.
What I’m most proud of isn’t any title or trophy, it’s who I have become through this journey. My sobriety. My resilience. My ability to make people feel seen and heard and that they matter. As long as I still have a pulse, I still have a purpose and the mission isn’t complete.
The big thing I’d want potential fans, clients, or followers to know is this: everything I’m building now is bigger than me. I’m not chasing attention, I’m pursuing impact. I want to show the world the love and compassion I wasn’t and that there is hope. If my story helps one person to keep going, to believe again, or to bet on themselves one more time, then my pain has served a purpose.
The best is yet to come!

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
It’s being able to connect with people at such a deep level that I’d never be able to without this platform.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
After my spine injury and numerous concussions in football, I had to sadly make the decision to hang up my cleats and walk away from the game I loved and thought I’d play for much longer. I was devastated at first and struggled immensely with an identity crisis. But I eventually found the Army and a new purpose and discipline that carried over into every area of my life.
