Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Logan Hailey. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Logan, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
I believe that joy, bliss, inspiration, and a zest for life are our natural state! But many of us are programmed to believe that things are getting worse rather than better. We are disconnected from our natural selves and bombarded by modern toxins that harm our physical, mental, and spiritual wellbeing. An abundance of science and my personal experiences prove that, the farther we get from nature, the sicker and sadder we become.
My own challenges are truly what called me to this mission to uplift the collective and help people become the healthiest versions of themselves.
I first became interested in the food system and wellness when I was 15, growing up in suburban Texas. I was healing my confidence and body from an eating disorder when I got my yoga teaching certification and went vegan, thinking that would heal my gut, body image, and relationship with food. Unfortunately, I wound up exhausted, depressed, and completely lost in spite of doing everything “right.” To make matters worse, I had very low self-esteem at the time and fell into self-destructive habits. I went to college at a tender age 16, thinking that a new place would be the solution to my problems, only to realize that I couldn’t run from myself. My inner light was dim, my diet and eating habits were a wreck, and I had no direction, identity, or self-love. I felt super sick, lethargic, unmotivated, and my lifelong struggle with asthma continued to worsen.
In my yearning for purpose and excitement in life, I ran away from college to hit the road with a bunch of wild hippie punk hoboes in a van. I slept under the stars and rambled all over the country, living outside and realizing my calling to nature. But there was also a dark side of drugs, alcohol, and lack of fulfillment. Thankfully, I discovered organic gardening and farming as a way to bridge the gap between my rebellious “screw the system” mentality and my desire to be closer to the Earth.
The road led me to several rural properties where I met people living off-grid, self-sufficiently, and growing their own food. Inspired by their natural way of living, I decided to go back to college to study ecological agriculture. Then, I built a school bus tiny home with my partner at the time and we worked on organic vegetable farms across the country for 6 years, delving into the world of soil health and all the ways in which industrial agriculture has harmed our health. At the same time, I built my confidence as I began teaching about food and agriculture on social media.
However, I was still struggling with asthma and lack of energy. I began to understand why my vegan diet wasn’t sustainable nor healthy for my body. I began connecting with local ranchers and learning how animals can regenerate soils, so I selectively added holistic animal products back into my diet and saw a tremendous improvement in my vitality. I also learned a lot about herbalism and found more connection to my lifelong passion as writing.
Ultimately, I discovered that, while I loved farming, I felt called to my purpose as a writer. I left farming in 2021 and set to build a remote writing business so I could travel the country and shine my light. In a very transformative 6 month journey, I built a new van conversion by myself and set off to travel the country between mountain wildernesses, open deserts, and blissful beaches. The process opened my soul to truly loving myself and building a life that fulfills me rather than feeling pressured to follow the well-trodden path. Now I am on the way to becoming a holistic nutritionist and creating many more offerings to uplift my community find their joy, authenticity, and vivaciousness!

Logan, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Sure! I’m Logan Hailey. I am a vivacious writer, van life nomad, and entrepreneur. My brand and blog, Naturally Logan, is all about helping people live joyful, healthier lives aligned with nature. Everything I do is rooted in the concept of VIVACIOUS living. To be vivacious is to be full of life! To wake up and feel energized, excited, and truly GOOD in your body. I combine holistic wellness, nutrition, non-toxic living tips, and herbalism with positive mindset hacks, personal development, travel, and outdoor adventure, to help my community rekindle their zest for life! I also run my own freelance copywriting agency where I write articles for a major gardening website, a personal development client, and a van life website.
Across the board, my message is firmly rooted in the idea that we each have the power to transform our lives and our health by reconnecting with the Earth. But we must take a HOLISTIC approach, meaning mind, body, AND soul. Whether you want to learn to grow your own food or cook more healthy meals or go on more hiking adventures or have a more positive outlook on life, there are many pieces to the equation. We have to address all dimensions of wellness to achieve true health.
It may be common to feel exhausted, depressed, or sick to your stomach all the time, but it’s certainly not normal. Our society bombards us with dismal news, toxic chemicals, and the prevailing message that we are degenerating and the world is doomed.
I dare to believe the exact opposite: regeneration is possible. Actually, life keeps getting better with time. We have the capacity to glow exponentially brighter with every passing day. The whole point of living a healthy life is to FEEL GOOD and HAVE FUN!
Whether improving my gut health, getting physically stronger, creating a more resilient mindset, traveling in wild places, learning new things, or practicing mindfulness, there are a million ways to upgrade our wellness every day.
But first, we must honestly confront ourselves: are we just living or are we fully alive? I wasted years of my precious life drowning in my own misery when I could have lived in ecstatic fulfilling joy simply by taking action to improve my physical, mental, and spiritual health. From debilitating asthma and allergies, crippling insecurity, eating disorders, addictions, and dismal mental health, I’ve had my fair share of health struggles that blocked me from expressing my true self.
Fortunately, my transformative and unconventional journey awakened my vivacious inner spirit. Once I experienced the bliss of vibrant health and soulful living with Nature, I vowed to never go back. Along the way, I’ve gathered an abundance of tips, tricks, and science-backed strategies to help others!
I enjoy translating scientific literature into plain language and helping people understand the practical ways they can make caring for their health fun and sustainable. Health isn’t about a diet or a cleanse; it’s about lasting habits that make life more enjoyable.
Most importantly, I believe in authenticity and integrity. I want people to know that I am the same person on camera as I am in person. I love meeting my community out on the road through my travels. I love being goofy and playful while communicating about food or health or mindset because that is my personality. I also find that, when I let loose, it helps others let loose and express their authentic selves. All in all, I embrace duality. I vow not to take life too seriously while still remaining seriously committed to being the best version of me. Changing the world is really about changing ourselves. Aldous Huxley said, “There is only one corner of the universe you can be certain of improving, and that’s your own self.”
If we all commit to improving ourselves in a HOLISTIC mind-body-spirit way that is connected to nature, I think we can all have a lot more fun and spread more positivity to uplift the collective consciousness.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
Most of us are programmed to believe we have to follow a well-trodden path through life to achieve “success” or notoriety- go to college, get a career, work your way up in a big company, buy a house, have a family, etc. I found that chasing the idea of someone else’s dream actually made me miserable.
The main lesson I had to unlearn was the idea that you aren’t allowed to change your mind. A lot of us fall into the “sunk cost fallacy,” believing that we put so much time and energy into something that we can’t leave it behind even when it no longer makes us happy. Even though I went to college for agriculture and worked in the industry for 6 years, I had to confront that it was only one part of my journey. I loved organic farming but I had a much deeper calling to be a writer and to travel the world.
Unlearning these lessons required setting aside anyone else’s expectations of me and building a life and business that actually made my happy. Everyone was walking this easy paved path, meanwhile I was bushwacking up a mountain creating my own trail as I went. There was no roadmap, so I had to do a lot of trial and error in building my business, my van, and my confidence in my own journey. I had to stop comparing myself to other people.
There was a lot of fear and uncertainty and doubts, but ultimately I’m glad I faced them. Fear is the biggest thing that holds us back in life- fear of not being successful, not being accepted, not being fulfilled, not being financially stable. But I faced all these fears and more, only to discover that love was the antidote. When I truly started LOVING myself and loving life, I found that life loved me back. I could spread my message and my authenticity freely with pure love for nature and all of humanity.
We only get one life on earth that we know of, so I couldn’t bear the thought of facing another day in a reality that felt inauthentic to my true self. I had to bravely face an unconventional path if I wanted my soul to truly feel free. We must unlearn the idea that “it’s too late to change.” You can change your entire life tomorrow in a small or big way. It’s just a matter of loving yourself enough to know you deserve to be happy and healthy.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
When I first set out to become a writer, I was a full-time farmer at the time working 12 hour days from sun up to sun down. I remember how frustrated I was with the farm ownership, my financial situation, and an unhealthy relationship I was in. I felt stuck, lost, and unhappy with myself.
When I first set out to become a writer, I was a full-time farmer at the time working 12 hour days from sun up to sun down. I remember how frustrated I was with the farm ownership, my financial situation, and an unhealthy relationship I was in. I felt stuck, lost, and unhappy with myself.
I eventually reached wits end and felt that I would do ANYTHING to get myself out of that scenario. I started waking up at 5 AM every morning to write articles, find clients, and hone my skills for 2 hours before I would start working on the farm. Then I’d work all day harvesting, planting, weeding, washing, and marketing the produce; just managing a 5 acre vegetable farm with only one other person. After sunset, I’d get out of the field exhausted, sweaty, and muddy, yet I forced myself to go to the gym and lift weights to reach my fitness goals. Then go back to my school bus and cook a fresh ingredient dinner, and stay up to write another article before bed. I was really tired and spread thin at the time, but I was desperate to rebuild my health, my confidence, and my business so I could fulfill my travel dreams.
Years later, I finally transitioned out of farming into my current role as a full time writer and content creator. In the process, I built my entire new home inside a Sprinter van and I upgraded my copywriting agency’s clientele. Now, I am leaning into that resilience once more to take my personal brand to the next level and help more people achieve true wellness and joyfulness!
