Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Logan Deason. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Logan, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
You know how in elementary school they always ask you what you want to be when you grow up? My answer was always an artist. I remember writing it down in 4th grade specifically. Although, I didn’t have a specific craft that I loved, I just thought being an artist would be cool. I have always had a creative mind with anything that I did. It wasn’t until I was a stay-at-home-mom trying to navigate motherhood and make an income from home that I decided to put my creative thoughts to use. It took me a while to really figure out exactly what I wanted to do. Being creative has never failed me and I’m thankful I never gave up on my artistic side.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
First and foremost, I’m a mom of 3. I’ve been a stay at home mom for 7 years now and have been through a lot of stages of finding myself and have gone through a lot of different business ideas in that process as well. When you’re creative it’s hard to pinpoint sometimes exactly what you want to dedicate your time to. I’ve tried all sorts of creating and in September of 2021 I decided to stop thinking and start doing. I wanted to try something different that I hadn’t seen in my town and that wasn’t too oversaturated. I started pressing flowers and making jewelry out of the flowers. I didn’t know where it would go but in October I launched my business, November Blooms, and it really took off. I was doing pop-up events, custom orders, and even got asked to put my products in some local places. Almost a year later and I’m doing even more than I imagined I would with this. I’ve expanded to full on flower preservation and offer so many options now. I love the sentimental side of custom orders and that I can create so many different things. Flowers make people happy and I love that.
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
Having other people be able to cherish what I create. I work with a lot of wedding flowers and even memorial/funeral flowers. Being able to create something that will last a lifetime and be a remembrance piece is really special.

How did you build your audience on social media?
I’m no expert but I’ve gotten a lot of traffic to my online website just from social media. Showing up as your authentic self will always be the best thing for you. Show how your create something. People love seeing how you make your art and the face behind the craft. Don’t be afraid to put yourself out there. Social media is the best way to get your creations out there in today’s society.
