Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Logan Carter. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Logan thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Alright, so you had your idea and then what happened? Can you walk us through the story of how you went from just an idea to executing on the idea
The Main steps that allowed me to launch my business was the great feedback I received everytime I cooked for a family member or friend. I already knew the business name I wanted for awhile, which is “ShefLogan” She & Chef combined with my name. My cousin created a business logo for me and these things took off in a month back in March 2023. When I first started i didn’t know what I was doing or anything with the culinary world. It took me about a year and a half to have all the things figured out.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I am Logan Carter, born and raised in west Philadelphia. I started cooking during Covid while I was 11 years and fell in love with it. The first dish I ever made was stuffed chicken, brussel sprouts and rice for me and my mother. After getting great feed back I started to cook more and more, everyone said my food was good I should start a business. It took me 3 years to officially launch my small catering business, “ShefLogan” I cater for small intimate couples to large groups such as weddings. I am now at the age of 16 & I have tons of experience experiences from working a different restaurants to on a food truck building my experiences in different aspects.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
I built my audience off of my mom friends and my family members. When I first started a lot of her friends loved what I did, I also attended a lot of networking events to get my business recognized. My advice for those who are just starting to build their social medial presence is post your content, do not stop post all the content you have on each and every social media platform. Someone is watching!

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
The most effective strategy for growing my clientele, is creating content and posting videos of me cooking and or posting food that is different that no one has ever seen. A lot of my clientele comes from people who loves that I am so young being able to cook so well and manage my grades.
