We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Logan Boswell. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Logan below.
Logan, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
The mission of Logan’s Prints goes beyond just selling images; it’s about creating a platform that encourages self-expression and preserves authentic stories. Growing up, I discovered the power of photography as a tool to capture fleeting moments and emotions that might otherwise be forgotten. This isn’t just a business—it’s a movement that helps people see their beauty and individuality, allowing them to share their narratives with the world.
What makes this mission deeply meaningful to me is the transformation I witness in others. So many people don’t realize the power of their own stories until they see themselves through a new lens, sometimes literally. Logan’s Prints exists to bring that experience to more people, empowering them to celebrate and share their unique journey. By building this brand, I’m not only honoring my creative path but also offering others the chance to see their lives and identities as art worth sharing.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I’m Logan Boswell, a photographer, visual storyteller, and the founder of Logan’s Prints. My journey into visual storytelling began when I was just five years old, capturing family vacations and gatherings from behind the lens. What started as a child’s curiosity about freezing time has evolved into a lifelong passion for bringing out the essence of people, places, and moments in authentic and alive ways. Logan’s Prints was born out of that same drive—a desire to give people a platform for self-expression and a way to share their stories through high-quality, meaningful images.
At Logan’s Prints, we specialize in photography that doesn’t just capture an image but evokes emotion. We offer custom prints, event photography, portrait sessions, and even creative direction for clients who want to tell their stories visually. My services go beyond just taking a photo; they’re about collaborating with clients to bring out their unique narratives and ensuring each project feels true to who they are. Whether it’s capturing the intimate moments of a wedding, bringing out a brand’s personality, or creating visually compelling art for homes and businesses, I approach each project with a deep commitment to authenticity and storytelling.
What sets Logan’s Prints apart is that personal connection and collaborative spirit. I see my role as not only a photographer but as a guide helping clients see the beauty in their own stories and share it confidently with the world. So often, people don’t recognize the impact of their own lives or the beauty in their journey until they see it reflected in a powerful image. That’s the experience I aim to deliver with Logan’s Prints: a chance to be seen, understood, and celebrated.
I’m especially proud of the moments where clients see themselves or their brand through a fresh lens—where they feel empowered, inspired, or deeply moved by the final product. Those moments remind me why I do this work and reinforce my mission to empower others through visual storytelling. For anyone considering working with Logan’s Prints, I want them to know that they’re not just hiring a photographer; they’re stepping into a collaborative experience where their story is honored and beautifully told. I believe everyone deserves to be celebrated and to have a way to share their unique perspective, and it’s my mission to provide that in every project I take on.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
Resilience has defined my journey from the very start. I taught myself photography, knowing exactly what I wanted to create but lacking the formal industry background. It was a self-driven process of trial and error, where I learned by doing—figuring out the technical skills needed to bring the images in my head to life. When the pandemic hit, it gave me the time to turn that passion into something official. I got my business license, set up business accounts, and laid the groundwork for Logan’s Prints. That time allowed me to fully commit to what I wanted to build.
The next leap came with my move from Dallas to Los Angeles—a bold step that was all about pushing my career forward and dedicating myself to this craft. Moving to LA, I knew I’d have to be resilient in ways I hadn’t been before. I faced countless rejections, from job applications that went unanswered to attempts to create roles where I saw a gap and believed I could make an impact. Even when I proposed a role at a Fortune 500 company that I was sure could solve a problem, the answer was no. But each ‘no’ only made me more determined.
Balancing a full-time job while nurturing my creative career has been another exercise in resilience. Working 40 hours a week, finding time to be creative, and going back to college to earn a degree in TV and film was a juggling act, but it was a commitment I made to myself and my passion. Those who are truly creative will understand the drive—it’s more than a job or a business; it’s a calling that keeps you going through every challenge.
Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
The pivotal moment in my career was when I decided to transition from a focus on business to fully immersing myself in the creative arts. My first degree was in Business Management, where I gained a solid foundation in principles like administration, organization, and running a business effectively. However, I realized my passion lay in the creative world, so I took a leap and pursued a second degree in movie and TV production and marketing.
This shift not only gave me insight into the fundamentals of the entertainment industry but also equipped me with essential skills like communication, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to manage projects from start to finish. It also allowed me to explore various creative outlets, helping me identify the areas I’m most passionate about and where I could have the greatest impact.
What made this pivot truly transformative was my ability to combine my business acumen with my creative skills. It allowed me to approach projects with a strategic mindset while also ensuring they were efficient, impactful, and aligned with audience needs. Learning tools like the Adobe Creative Suite and honing my storytelling skills became the bridge between my business background and my creative aspirations.
This career pivot not only refined my focus but also made me a more versatile professional, capable of contributing to both the strategic and artistic aspects of any project. It was a challenging yet rewarding decision that positioned me to thrive in the creative industry and bring my unique perspective to every endeavor.
