Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to LOE Badgett. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi LOE, thanks for joining us today. We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.
I’ve learned over the last few years life is short. We experience many great victories and undesirable losses. During this journey I have personally found out there is no better victory than betting on yourself and winning. I also discovered suffering a loss is alot better when you played the chips how you see fit, not allowing someone else to control your destiny. While pursuing a music career I started a trucking company three years ago. I found out when you expand your portfolio and give yourself more opportunities at financial freedom you also gain the power to triple investment in your dreams. Don’t be afraid to build something to fund your pursuit of happiness. Take the risk. Enjoy the ride. Then double down and go harder.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’m LOE Badgett, a black entrepreneur/artist from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Founder of The Loyals Records. I began my musical journey at the age of eight, but only in the last five years of life have I actively been pursuing a career in the music industry. In 2019 I released my first solo album “Since Graduation”. Since then I have released three more studio albums, “Since Graduation 2”, “Facts Over Feelings”, and most recently “What’s Done is Done” which was entirely produced by Raminbeatz. I’m a song of the year (2022) and Hip Hop artist of the year (2021) award winner for the CPMA’S in Central Pennsylvania. I successfully worked with the mayor and police chief of Harrisburg, PA on a stop the violence campaign focused directly on the youth of the city. In 2023 I started a series of freestyles that would eventually make Hip-Hop history. “Keep It LOE Monday” where I dropped over 66 freestyles in a span of one year. Consistency is key in the music business and I have proven to be a model of success for artist after me. I have shared the stage with many legends such as Rakim, KRS ONE, Brand Nubian, EPMD, and so on.
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
The goal is to provide the best possible quality of life for my wife and two children. Whatever path I must take to accomplish that will be God’s decision. I aim to be acknowledged in my creative space as one of the best to ever do it. I also aim to drive my business efforts foward and provide opportunities to those who need one.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect of being an artist is being able to create relatable music for the supporters or fans. There is no greater feeling than having someone tell you “You kept me alive” or “You help me push foward”. My style of Hip-Hop is uptempo and high energy. Hustler or motivation music I like to call it.
