We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Lo Werth. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Lo below.
Alright, Lo thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Almost all entrepreneurs have had to decide whether to start now or later? There are always pros and cons for waiting and so we’d love to hear what you think about your decision in retrospect. If you could go back in time, would you have started your business sooner, later or at the exact time you started?
If I could go back in time, I wouldn’t change a thing about when I started my business. In January 2023, after feeling burned out from my 9-5 career in behavioral health—helping others through recovery and severe mental illness—I took a leap of faith and started something new.
Had I started earlier, I wouldn’t have gained the vital experience in organization, people skills, and patience that I rely on today. I also wouldn’t have built the incredible network of amazing people who support me now.
Things fell into place when I was truly ready to go full force. Looking back, I realize starting sooner might have meant missing out on being fully prepared. I’m grateful for the timing—it was the perfect moment to take that next step!

Lo, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My name is Lo, and I am the owner of Life Flow by Lo – a virtual assistance and social media management business where I support brands and businesses in the health and wellness fields stand out in their social media authentically, organize the backend of business, and so much more.
I found myself interested in this career change due to scrolling social media myself and learning what a virtual assistant and social media manager was and how I could turn this into a full-time career. I support my clients in finding authentic ways to become present on their social media platforms in order to attract their ideal client in a way that puts more priority on genuine connection over a general sales pitch. What sets me apart from others is the way I build connections with my clients in order to truly get a sense of what their business is and how I can elevate the way they present themselves online. I work very one-on-one with people to figure out what is working best, what is gaining more traction and most importantly, what they LOVE to post for their followers to see and relate to.
The most important thing I want people to know who come across my website or social media is that, social media should be fun at the end of the day. If it creates more stress to post consistently, stay cohesive with your brand, or you just absolutely hate it, then I want you to consider exploring the ways we can collaborate and how I can take things off your plate that allows you to live your dream life while building a successful business. My virtual assistant services go hand in hand with this value as well. If you are struggling to stay organized or consistent with email management to communicate to your clients or followers for example, I can support you with backend organization so you can focus more on what made you want to start a business in the first place.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
At the start of my journey, I was still working full-time as a behavioral health case manager. Balancing a 9-5 job while trying to build a business from scratch—with no prior business experience—was incredibly challenging. I’d come home after a long day and dive into my new venture, which wasn’t easy.
But through this, I discovered my resilience. It took a lot of courage to leave the stability of my full-time job and take the risk of financial uncertainty. Those first few months on my own taught me the importance of staying committed to my goals, which has been key to my success.

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
The most effective strategy for growing my clientele has been a combination of local networking and social media marketing. Building relationships with other business owners has opened so many doors and, more importantly, has led to genuine connections with clients.
Whether through social media or face-to-face, meaningful communication has proven to be the best way to expand my client base. I realized early on that many people don’t take the time to truly connect and discuss how they can support one another! Prioritizing these authentic conversations has been key to fostering lasting relationships with my clients.
