We recently connected with Lizette Rivera and have shared our conversation below.
Lizette , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Can you tell us about a time where you or your team really helped a customer get an amazing result?
This is one of my favorite stories. I had a customer from Georgia who called for a custom box. Her son who she adopted graduated from dental school and he credits coffee for seeing him through it. So what better gift box to send then one that’s coffee inspired. It was a joy to put this together for him. She ordered over 24 espresso chocolate chip cookies, 6 bags of coffee, 24 double espresso brownies, and so much more. He sent me a live unboxing and watching him cry over such a special gift is something I will never forget. He said his favorite part .. the hand written note!

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
Roasted Whisk was created during the quarantine in 2020 during COVID. My daughter was a 2020 graduate. Like most seniors she never went back to school after Spring Break. She was the school Valedictorian. She was bored one day and so was I and she said hey mom let’s bake. So we did. We set out to make everything homemade. During our baking of course there was coffee. So we decided to bring our favorite worlds together. The fun of baking and creating sweet treats and espresso. My mom would visit often. She has Dementia and my home was a safe space for her. She was our official taste tester. Mom would always ask “can you put those in a box?” Little did we know mom was handing out treats to friends in her 55 and up development. Shortly after finding this out, the light bulb went off and Roasted Whisk was born. I am so proud of building this company along side my daughter before she left for college. I think it helped us bond during such a horrible time.
I would love everyone to know how much love is in our baking and preparing these boxes. We want everyone who receives one to feel like they are in my home sharing a cup of coffee with me and my mom. We also do corporate/client gifts.

What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
The best source of new clients is from someone who has already received a box. This makes me so happy. We know that person loved the box so much they told other people.
How did you build your audience on social media?
I love social media. It allows you to tell your story and really connect with people. I started with Facebook and Instagram. I wanted to be authentic to my brand without being overly sales like. My advice would be start small. Pick two social platforms you know well. Begin posting two to three times a week. Stay consistent. Make sure to connect with followers. Respond to comments and HAVE FUN!
