Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Liz Jahl. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Liz, thanks for joining us today. Taking care of customers isn’t just good business – it is often one of the main reasons folks went into business in the first place. So, we’d love to get a conversation going around how to best help clients feel appreciated – maybe you can share something you’ve done or seen someone do that’s been really effective at helping a customer feel valued?
I believe the best way to show a client that I appreciate them is by going above and beyond with service and really noticing dynamics. As a wedding photographer, I don’t just show up to take pretty photos—I’m here to truly document my clients’ love, connection, quirks, quiet moments and loud laughter. Every couple is different, and I believe all of my clients’ stories deserve to be told in a way that feels true to them.
My way of showing appreciation isn’t just in words—it’s in the way I pay attention.
The way I watch for the hand squeeze before the ceremony. The way I notice their grandma tearing up in the second row. The way I capture that deep breath they take before walking down the aisle.
My clients trust me with one of the most meaningful days of their life—and I don’t take that lightly. I honor that trust by reflecting their love back to them in a way that feels real, raw, and personal.

Liz, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m a wedding photographer based in Georgia, and I serve couples all across the Southeast who are looking for more than just beautiful images—they’re looking for an intentional experience that feels joyful, bespoke, and elevated from start to finish.
My journey into photography started with a love for storytelling. I’ve always been drawn to the emotion in small moments, the in-between glances, and the way a single image can transport you right back to how a moment felt. Weddings, with all their emotion and energy and meaning, felt like a natural fit—and once I photographed my first one, I was completely hooked.
I now specialize in documenting weddings with a blend of editorial elegance and documentary authenticity. I offer full-day wedding coverage, engagement sessions, heirloom albums, and bespoke add-ons like bridal portraits or rehearsal dinner coverage. But more than that, I provide peace of mind. My clients know they can trust me to create timeless images while also being a calm, grounding presence on their day.
What sets my work apart is the way I intentionally craft each couple’s experience to reflect them. No two love stories are the same, and I want every gallery to feel personal and full of meaning. I spend time getting to know my clients—what they value, what makes them light up, and what moments matter most. That connection allows me to photograph their day in a way that’s not only elevated in style, but deeply them in substance.
I’m most proud when a client tells me, “You captured us—not just how we looked, but how we felt.” That’s my goal every time.
If you’re planning a wedding in Georgia or anywhere in the Southeast, I’d love to connect. Whether your celebration is grand and elegant or intimate and relaxed, I’m here to help you feel seen, celebrated, and completely at ease—so you can be fully present in the moment, while I preserve it beautifully for you.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
The most amazing thing about this role is how it connects generations. People change, age, pass on—but photos remain. I might capture a grandmother’s smile, a nervous tear, a child holding hands with a parent. These moments might seem small at the time, but years later, they become everything. Trust me.
It’s amazing to think that these photographs might be seen by children not yet born. A couple’s grandchildren might look through an album and feel what that day was like. This art becomes part of a family’s visual history—how wild and beautiful is that?

Looking back, are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
I can’t stress enough of how important it is to find and grow with other creatives. Community is everything.
