Hi Liz , thanks for joining us today. We’d love to go back in time and hear the story of how you came up with the name of your brand?
Our business name came together in 2016 and was finally registered in July of 2022. We wanted something that was meaningful. Butterflies and dragonflies have always been significant to us. Both types of insects go through metamorphosis. This is the reason to why we decided to name our business “Metamor(phaces)”. Each time we paint we are forming a type of metamorphosis on faces, leaving a big smile or turning them into their favorite things! We love seeing children play the role of their face paint as soon as they jump off our chair and look in the mirror!

If you’re looking to add fun, color, and LOTS of glitter to your events, we are your go to! We are a family business of insured face painters and entertainers with many years of experience! Our commitment is to make sure to use the best quality of safe and reliable products for all skin types. The paint we use is gentle on the face and body and easy to remove. The glitter is cosmetic grade and biodegradable. We are proud to accomplish our goal when we see smiles and reactions after we create art for others!

How we got into the industry:
Liz began face painting as a volunteer in 2009. As we learned together we also learned from each other! We realized that this was our vocation and decided to put our skills to the test. We would rather be working on most of our free time! This is our PASSION , our full time job, and simply the best decision we have made together!
Problem we encounter:
Saying “no” or cutting the line is very difficult for us. The last thing we want to do is disappoint our clients so when we are cutting the line we try to fit a couple more people in if we have time. We will always try our best to be flexible!
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
We believe that our reputation was built slowly as others got to know us at different events. Our team enjoys volunteering and attending community events as much as possible. Being punctual to all events is crucial to us. There are times where our clients have a budget and when they do we work with them to find what works best for us all.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
Our social media pages do not have many followers and our audience does not grow quickly but each follower has a special story in our life. Despite not having many followers, there are times where we’re out at the store or walking around and children who we have painted before are thrilled to see us and this just melts our hearts! We feel like celebrities haha! Many of our clients have become like family to us and we appreciate each and every one of the people who have supported us throughout our journey!
