Lixeida, appreciate you joining us today. Before we get into specifics, let’s talk about success more generally. What do you think it takes to be successful?
In my perspective as a Commercial & Marketing Manager, being successful requires discipline and passion for what you do. Success is not only what others see from the outside; it comes from the dedication we show every day, from getting up early and facing important challenges with determination. In this role, I have learned resilience, love for my work, and, above all, the value of continuous learning.
The skills I have acquired throughout my career have shaped me into a better professional and person. Daily dedication and consistent performance have made me feel that I am achieving success. Most importantly, staying positive, focused, and setting clear goals has allowed me to approach my work with wisdom and confidence, which is more than enough to feel empowered and energized

Lixeida, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My name is Lixeida Pillot, and I am the Commercial & Marketing Manager at SPANISH FOR FUN! (SFF!), a leading early learning center dedicated to providing high-quality Spanish immersion programs for children. I became passionate about education and marketing because I love connecting people with opportunities that can truly make a difference in their lives. Combining creativity, strategy, and communication allows me to help families discover the value of early language learning while supporting the growth of our brand.
At SFF!, we offer comprehensive Spanish immersion programs for children ranging from infants to school-age, designed to foster bilingualism, cultural awareness, and social-emotional growth. Beyond education, our goal is to provide parents with peace of mind through a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment.
In my role, I oversee the development and execution of marketing strategies that help families learn about our programs, engage with our community, and take action to enroll their children. I work closely with both our internal team and prospective families to ensure that our communications are clear, effective, and aligned with our mission. What sets SFF! apart is our dedication not only to language immersion but also to creating a learning environment filled with love, creativity, and a sense of belonging.
I am most proud of the impact our marketing efforts have had in connecting families to SFF!, expanding our reach, and supporting the growth of new centers, while always maintaining the integrity of our mission. The main things I want potential families, clients, and followers to know about SFF! and my work are that we are committed to excellence, driven by passion, and focused on creating meaningful experiences that empower children and enrich their early learning journey.
Any fun sales or marketing stories?
One of the most memorable moments in my marketing career was when we opened our Wake Forest center. From day one, the project demanded every ounce of energy and creativity we had designing the space, planning the programs, and getting the word out to families in the community. But we knew that to make a splash, we had to take a bold risk.
We decided to offer the first month of tuition for just $1. It was a little crazy, and honestly, we didn’t know exactly how it would turn out, but we went for it. The response was incredible! In just one month, we had 20 new registrations. Some families were simply taking advantage of the offer, but most were genuinely excited to join our community.
What made it even more thrilling was watching the ripple effect. Within six months, the center went from 60 enrolled children to 120. Seeing all our creative marketing efforts pay off so quickly was exhilarating. That experience taught me so much about thinking boldly, trusting my team, and embracing calculated risks. It’s a story I’ll never forget because it showed me that with passion, innovation, and courage, you can turn even the riskiest ideas into amazing results.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
One of the most effective strategies for growing our clientele at SPANISH FOR FUN! has been a combination of targeted promotions, personalized engagement, and community-driven marketing. For example, when opening new centers, we’ve designed bold, creative campaigns like offering the first month of tuition for just $1, which immediately attracted families and created buzz in the community.
Beyond promotions, building strong relationships with prospective families through tours, personalized follow ups, and clear communication has been key. We focus on understanding their needs and showing how our programs provide a unique and high-quality learning experience.
Another effective strategy has been leveraging social media and local marketing channels to increase visibility, highlight our programs, and share success stories. By combining innovative promotions with authentic engagement and consistent communication, we’ve been able to grow enrollment quickly and maintain long term relationships with our families.
