We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Liv Wheeler. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Liv below.
Liv, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Can you tell us about a time that your work has been misunderstood? Why do you think it happened and did any interesting insights emerge from the experience?
Yes, absolutely. I feel I’ve been been misunderstood and mischaracterized at least a few times if not more during my 20 years as a woman walking between the worlds. In honour of the Sacred, I’ll simply speak to why I feel it has happened. We’re living in radical times on earth currently. With the advent of social media and spirituality trending, great confusion can take place in genuine ceremonial spaces. Generations of unhealed ancestral trauma may bleed into the best of healing intentions and culture being celebrated, which casts out the unwanted and essentially perpetuates witching, adding fire to an already firey energy. Indeed, I’ve learned so much from these situations! I’ve learned forgiveness. I’ve learned I’m devoted to cultivating a culture that cultivates wisdom and compassion. I’ve learned deeper self-love. I’ve learned that the wounds in our human family are deep and may require generations to heal, considering they’re likely the result of generations of unresolved patterns.

Liv, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
For those I haven’t met yet, I’m Liv. In my early 20s, my grandmother whispered from the other side of the veil and began guiding me. I was responding to her messages without realizing what I was responding to. It felt instinctual, and I trusted my intuition. My grandmother guided me to the San Francisco Bay Area to fully immerse myself in the path true to my soul. My life’s purpose is to guide people in the spiritual dimensions and remind others of the presence of our enlightened ancestors, guides, and guardians. I’m also a woman naturally drawn to all that is artistic and musical, so the way my spirituality is expressed is very creative.
I have a shamanic heart-based online school called Earth’s Amulet. We have online courses in which I’ve poured my 20 years of ceremonial experience from travelling the world and working with people around the earth. I’m wildly passionate about what I do, and I’m so grateful for that! Others have told me that they feel my superpowers are the way that I’m able to see deeply into a soul’s essence and reflect back to them their shininess as well as express myself vulnerably.
What I’m most proud of is my courage on my journey. I’ve been steadily walking into the unknown, guided by the otherworld. I’ve been through many initiations and dark nights of the soul, which looked like losing everything. What I’ve come to learn, though, is that this is more often than not a sign that great blessings are on their way!

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
When I was in my early 20s, I worked as a court reporter. I chose this profession when I was in high school, drawing on what I believed the parameters were: to land a job that paid well. I believed that would bring happiness and fulfilment. It didn’t. I learned at that time that money alone and working in a job that was out of alignment with my soul would likely do serious harm to my health and well-being.
I set off to listen to the little voice in my heart, which was dim but consistently giving me messages. It meant that for many years, I had very few resources yet was flowing on faith. Nearly everyone I spoke with essentially thought I was making the wrong decision and that I should return to my profession.
I chose to honour my intuition and am so grateful I did!

Any resources you can share with us that might be helpful to other creatives?
I wish I knew about amazing healers who support the healing of the emotional body. Once we release so many of the layers of our unhealed emotions, we have so much more stamina and enthusiasm for our journey!
