We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Liv Arcangeli a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Liv, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Was there a moment in your career that meaningfully altered your trajectory? If so, we’d love to hear the backstory.
I don’t believe there was just one defining moment in my career. Rather, it was a gentle accumulation of experiences, culminating in a moment where my nervous system finally said, “Okay, this is it. I’m not holding on any longer.”
When I first started my business I was branded as a creativity coach. If I’m being truly honest, I was operating from a place of ego. I had a specific number of clients I wanted to enrol, a target income, and, most importantly, I wanted to be seen and recognized in my field. At the time, I wasn’t fully aware of it, but I was chasing external validation. As someone with dyslexia and ADHD, my self-esteem had never been particularly strong, and even in adulthood, I was still looking for proof that I was enough.
I began to receive subtle signs that this path didn’t fully resonate with me. I was working tirelessly to achieve my goals, yet something felt off. My clients were getting incredible value from my coaching, and on the surface, my business was gaining momentum. But deep inside, a voice kept whispering, “Liv, this isn’t it.”
I felt conflicted. When I shared this with other professionals, saying, “I don’t want to help my clients just get results and achieve their goals anymore,” their responses were always the same: “What do you mean? Isn’t that the whole point?” But I knew something deeper was calling me—I just didn’t yet have the words for it.
So, I made a bold decision: I paused my creativity coaching program to explore what this inner voice was trying to tell me. I wrapped up my last client, and my mind immediately went into panic mode. What now?
Not long after, what seemed like the perfect job opportunity appeared—great hours, good pay, still in the wellness field, though not exactly what I had been doing. I went through the entire interview process feeling hopeful, thinking, Yes! This is why I needed to step back. This is my next step.
I didn’t get the job.
And I was devastated. More than I expected. At first, I wasn’t sure why it hit me so hard, but now I understand: my ego was grasping at its final straw. It wanted to quiet that nagging feeling of not doing well enough. And beyond that, I knew deep down that because I didn’t get the job, I would have to face something much harder—a deep, personal awakening.
Not getting that job turned out to be one of the greatest gifts I could have received. It pushed me into an incredibly transformational journey where I healed aspects of myself I had ignored for so long. I sat with the discomfort of the unknown, let go of the need to control, and surrendered to whatever wanted to unfold.
And in that space, I finally heard what my soul had been trying to tell me.
The way I coach and facilitate healing now is completely different. It’s intuitive, deeply connected, and rooted in love for life itself. My clients still experience profound transformations, but it’s no longer about achieving something external. Instead, it’s about removing the layers that block them from fully being themselves. This work isn’t about reaching a goal—it’s about liberation.
I’ve learned that if we live solely for achievement, we will always be chasing something, never fully at peace. True fulfillment comes from connecting to our essence, embracing the unknown, and surrendering to the natural unfolding of life.
In many ways, I had to burn down everything I had built—my business, my beliefs, my very sense of self. It was painful. It was disorienting. And I wouldn’t change it for the world.
So, to those reading this: if you ever find yourself facing disappointment, don’t fear it—celebrate it. It might just be the moment when everything falls apart so that something far greater can be built in its place.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I am a Transformational Coach and Holistic Healer, dedicated to guiding people back to what I call their “true nature.” This is the part of us that exists beyond the mind—beyond limiting beliefs, fears, and external expectations. It is a place of deep presence, peace, and compassion, where we move through life with authenticity and alignment. I believe many of us are raised in ways that disconnect us from ourselves and the universe. If we all lived from our true essence, it would profoundly transform the way we experience life.
My offerings include 1:1 Transformational Coaching, Reiki energy healing, and holistic wellness events such as breathwork, sound healing, and yoga. My work is deeply intuitive and integrative, weaving together multiple modalities to create a fully customized experience for each client.
I first stepped onto this path in my early 20s while working as a contemporary dance artist. I was searching for tools to care for myself—mind, body, and soul. This led me to my first yoga teacher training, and from there, my journey never stopped. I continued exploring new modalities, deepening my own healing, and dedicating myself fully to a life of spiritual practice, love, and devotion. I stopped perusing my career as a dance artist because I felt truly called to help people shift their entire self at the deepest level.
At the heart of my work is a co-creative process. I believe each person is the expert of their own life. Rather than placing an agenda on anyone, I create a space for them to explore, heal, and uncover their own wisdom.
Putting training and knowledge aside, what else do you think really matters in terms of succeeding in your field?
Personal practice and experience are the most important aspects of being a yoga teacher or healing arts practitioner. I’ve had the privilege of learning from incredible mentors, and I hold deep gratitude for their wisdom. Their teachings have shaped me, but true embodiment comes from integrating these practices into daily life and sharing them from the heart.
This work requires a willingness to step into uncertainty and vulnerability. When I first started, I wasn’t entirely sure what direction my teaching and facilitation would take. It felt uncomfortable to be fully authentic. But with time and practice, confidence naturally grew. One of the most beautiful aspects of this work is that as you facilitate, you continue to heal—layer by layer, deeper authenticity continues to pour out of you.
Trusting this process is essential. Transformation happens organically, but it also requires commitment. I meditate every day to clear my mind and energy so I can show up fully for my clients. This inner work is what makes me a good healer—because I’ve taken the time to lean into my own transformation, I can guide others through theirs.
Ultimately, success in this field isn’t just about knowledge—it’s about embodying what you teach and guiding from a place of being, rather than simply sharing what you know.
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
The most effective strategy for growing my clientele has been putting more focus on my energy rather than just the actions I’m taking.
This means prioritizing my body, mind, and soul in a holistic way, so I can show up as the most vibrant version of myself. When I’m feeling aligned, I naturally attract my soul clients.
It’s all about vibration. I engage in practices that help me tap into a higher frequency—whether that’s through meditation, practicing gratitude, spending time in nature, receiving sound healing or Reiki, doing yoga asana, repeating mantras, singing, or prayer. There are countless ways to raise our vibration!
As we attune to a higher frequency, we begin to make decisions and take action from a place of abundance, rather than scarcity. This shifts you into an energy of allowing and receiving, which is incredibly powerful for any business owner.
