We were lucky to catch up with Litzy Hilario recently and have shared our conversation below.
Litzy, appreciate you joining us today. What do you think it takes to be successful?
To be successful, I believe it takes consistency, a willingness to learn, and the courage to start even when things aren’t perfect. When I launched Litzys Marketing, my goal was to help local businesses grow through strategic social media marketing. In the beginning, I definitely had doubts about whether I was experienced enough or if I could attract the right clients.
However, I quickly learned that success isn’t about having all the answers but about showing up, delivering value, and being adaptable. One of my first clients– a local sports academy– had never invested in social media before. By creating content tailored to their audience and tracking engagement trends, we grew their followers and saw an increase in engagement, website traffic, and registrations. That small win fueled my confidence and showed me that success comes through effort, trust, and stepping outside of my comfort zone.
Through this experience and others, I’ve learned that success isn’t a one-time milestone but a series of small steps built on persistence, passion, and learning from both failures and wins.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I’ve always been creative, and I like to think of it as I was created to create. My passion for creativity then led me to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing with a Digital concentration. Over the last couple of years, I’ve had the privilege of working with numerous clients who have not only trusted me with their brands but also helped me grow my expertise along the way.
Through my business, Litzys Marketing, I offer a range of services created to help brands elevate their social media presence and connect meaningfully with their audience. These services include: Social Media Management, Content Creation & Photography, Creative Direction, and Branding.
What sets me apart is my heart for storytelling and strategy. I don’t just create content; I work with intention, making sure every thing I create reflect the brand’s voice, vision, and values. I’m truly proud of the relationships I’ve built with my clients, and seeing their businesses thrive is what fuels my passion to keep creating.
At the end of the day, I’m here to help brands stand out authentically and shine with purpose.
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
When I first started Litzys Marketing, I faced doubts and financial uncertainty. I was eager to help businesses grow through social media but struggled to land consistent clients in the beginning. Instead of giving in to the fear of failure, I chose to focus on the small wins. I continued networking, working on my skills, and offering free consultations to share the value I could bring.
Over time, I built trust and credibility, and clients started coming in. That season taught me the importance of perseverance and having faith in the process. Resilience is about showing up even when it feels like nothing is working—because eventually, hard work pays off.
How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
Growing up, I always wanted to become a teacher because I had a strong desire to help make a difference by educating future generations. I loved the idea of empowering others with knowledge that could shape their lives to become someone great. However, as I continued on my journey, I discovered a deep passion for creativity and marketing, which led me to pivot from the traditional classroom to the world of social media marketing.
While it was a big shift, I still get to make a difference– just in a different way. Through my business, I educate business owners on how to grow their brands, connect with their audiences, and thrive on social media. I’ve found so much joy in combining my love for teaching with creativity, helping entrepreneurs build confidence in their businesses and see real results.
It’s definitely a reminder that sometimes our purpose doesn’t change, but the way we fulfill it does. For me, the classroom looks different, but the mission to educate and inspire remains the same.
And who knows–maybe one day, I’ll find myself back in a classroom, teaching future entrepreneurs about marketing and the power of social media. Only God knows my plan, but for now, I’m grateful for the path He’s led me on and the opportunity to inspire others in this way.
