We were lucky to catch up with Lisa Stein recently and have shared our conversation below.
Lisa, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.
Absolutely!!! I’ve been practicing and focusing on self development for eight years consistently. It was at a retreat with my mentor Danelle Delgado. There were 60 of us that was invited and paid for this opportunity to work with her. Everyone was fine tuning their dream goals and creating their own dream businesses. When she asked who didn’t know what they were there for, I raised my hand. It was at that moment she started asking me questions that were helpful in guiding me through my dream business journey. I knew I didn’t want to be a “coach”, but with life experiences over the last 40 years I knew I could relate to others and create a safe space for women to come together, be encouraged, be supported and to help them see their own opportunities to impact themselves in a positive way. That was when she said the word MENTOR and I knew that I could be a positive impact on others. Helping them to build on their own skills and strengths. Ironically it became all of that for me in only 6 short months when our oldest son took his own life. They supported me and allowed me to feel safe in this space of our community and find my voice again.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Starting out as a single mom at 19, my path has woven through various roles: from a licensed cosmetologist to a real estate agent and now, an entrepreneur. I’ve had my share of ups and downs, but as a mother of three and married to the love of my life, my heart is full. My own struggles with self-doubt and confusion have led me to a place of gratitude and growth. What’s remained constant is my drive to support and uplift others.
I’ve learned the power of kindness in tough times, and now, I’m passionate about guiding women to overcome their hurdles and live more intentionally.
My journey began eight years ago when I ventured into network marketing, driven by my passion for connecting with people. I discovered immense fulfillment in fostering meaningful relationships, particularly with women. However, I soon realized that these connections often dissolved when individuals discontinued product usage. This insight shed light on the struggle many women encounter in nurturing enduring adult friendships.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
Tragically, just six months after launching my mentor membership, I faced one of the most devastating experiences of my life: the passing of my oldest son. In the midst of unimaginable grief and heartache, I was confronted with a choice: to succumb to despair or to find the strength to carry on. Despite the overwhelming pain, I made the decision to continue with my mentorship program. It wasn’t easy. There were days when the weight of my sorrow felt unbearable, and the thought of carrying on seemed impossible. But through sheer resilience and the unwavering support of my loved ones, I found the courage to press forward.
In honoring my son’s memory, I channeled my grief into my work, pouring my heart and soul into helping others. It was a journey marked by both sorrow and triumph, but ultimately, it was a testament to the power of resilience in the face of adversity.
Though the pain of losing my son will never fully fade, I’ve learned to carry it with me as a source of strength, driving me to make a positive impact in the lives of others. In sharing my story, I hope to inspire others to find resilience in their own darkest moments and to never lose sight of the light that lies beyond the darkness.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
Building my audience on social media was a gradual and strategic process. Initially, I focused on creating high-quality, engaging content that resonated with my target audience. I identified the platforms where my audience was most active and tailored my content to suit each platform’s unique characteristics. Consistency was key. I made sure to post regularly and interact with my audience by responding to comments, messages, and engaging with other users’ content. This helped foster a sense of community and trust among my followers.
Collaborations with other influencers and brands also played a significant role in growing my audience. By partnering with like-minded individuals and businesses, I was able to tap into new audiences and expand my reach organically.
As for advice for those just starting to build their social media presence, I would emphasize the importance of authenticity and patience. Building a meaningful presence takes time, so don’t get discouraged if you don’t see immediate results. Focus on creating valuable content that resonates with your audience, engage with your followers authentically, and be consistent in your efforts. And remember, building a strong social media presence is not just about gaining followers, but about building genuine connections and providing value to your audience.
