Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Lisa Pukish- Ringenberg. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Lisa, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We love heartwarming stories – do you have a heartwarming story from your career to share?
My journey with healing began almost 20 years ago with the birth of my medically fragile daughter. After western medicine had surgically saved her life, I was left with a sick child who needed not only to recover from surgery but the medicine and toxins she received over the several years she was hospitalized. I sought help through Eastern/functional medicine and was able to reduce her prescription drugs, from 22 to just 2, over a course of 18 months simply using food and homeopathic techniques to reduce illness and stress. When she was also diagnosed as Celiac, I realized that food can be your poison as well as your medicine. My journey with her health was intense and lead me to become a certified practitioner of integrative nutrition through The Institute of Integrative Nutrition, NYC, the world’s largest nutrition school. I believe that given the opportunity and support, your body WILL heal itself!

Lisa, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My clients peak mental, emotional, spiritual and physical health is my number one goal. When one rung of the ladder is missing, we can’t continue to climb, so this program treats all of you with education and support, not fad diets, shakes or pills. Choosing what food you put into your mouth is one of the most valuable freedoms you have. Your health, and your quality of life, depends on your choices.
KCI clients may come to me for weight management, diets of medical necessity, management of stress, chronic illness, general fatigue/unhappiness, low motivation or poor lifestyle habits. I am most proud of my success rate in helping others reduce or better manage medical diagnosis therefore bringing them less stress, more happiness and a shot at a longer healthier life.
What sets me apart? I am available to my clients 24 hours, each and every day during the six month program to guide them through food choices and hold them accountable until new habits are formed and they are ready to fly! When you know better, you do better, finally…you are better.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
I have found the most effective strategy for growing my clientele has been word of mouth. Myself and my clients are walking billboards for how well this program works and the effects it can have on every aspect of your life. Advertising what I hope to bring to your life doesn’t hold a candle to seeing a friend or co-worker shed pounds, get healthier and handle stress better. Clients in the KCI program tend to radiate health and happiness and people can truly see and feel that change in vibration and others want that for themselves! Referrals have been the backbone of my business, my clients success is my success.

Other than training/knowledge, what do you think is most helpful for succeeding in your field?
In addition to education and training, I think my personal life experience has been most helpful to me succeeding in my field. I was sick as a young adult and used a lot of homeopathic techniques/stress reduction to help heal myself, so I understand how stress can make you sick and how we can control it if we are given the tools. In 2018 my husband suddenly passed away and once again I found myself treating my body in such a way that brought forth peace and health while I was recovering from shock. A lot of people would turn to comfort food and alcohol, but instead I honored my body that was carrying me through the trauma and gave it the support it needed to do so. Food and exercise were my medicine to get through his death without gaining weight or becoming ill. I go back and draw on this experience to help my clients recover from trauma on a physical, emotional and mental level so they aren’t stuck in a cycle of feeling poorly emotionally and covering it up with more things that make them feel poorly physically.
