Lisa , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. To kick things off, we’d love to hear about things you or your brand do that diverge from the industry standard
Ritual Realty is a real estate brand that leverages mindfulness and intention to assist our clients. The real estate industry has had a long history of big egos and stressful situations. Combining our decades of experience along with our holistic practices proven to help with calming the nervous system, Ritual Realty aims to bring a new gentleness and compassion to the real estate process for our clients. Not only are we approaching the real estate process with intention & ease we are also offering support to our real estate community via free breathwork and energy healing sessions. These sessions are specifically for real estate agents, lenders, escrow, title and pretty much anyone in the real estate community that wants a safe space to decompress and release any stresses in the body that may be affecting their lives. These sessions are our way of giving back and helping our real estate community level up, especially in changing times.
Ritual Realty combines the one-on-one care of a boutique brokerage with the expertise, masterful negotiation skills, and resources of a larger firm. Though, unlike those larger firms, long after the journey of the home selling process ends, we remain available to our clients as a devoted friend, trusted resource, and ongoing source of support.

Lisa , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m Lisa Padilla, the founder and owner of Ritual Realty, a real estate company focused on mindfulness and intention. I have been a realtor in San Diego for nearly 24 years and have worked in most areas of real estate including new development, luxury high rises, listings & working with buyers. My journey through real estate has been a wild ride, including the boom of the mid 2000’s that lead up to the crash in 2008 followed by the excitement of the mid 2010’s through the pandemic craziness. I have seen it all and one thing I know for sure is that the most important things to survive in real estate are a good attitude, relationship building skills and ways to regulate your nervous system because burn out is real. That’s why I started Ritual Realty with a a focus on mindfulness, intention and actionable tools that can be used towards regulating stress in the body when dealing with stressful situations. It doesn’t have to be so hard for both real estate professionals and clients. At Ritual Realty we pride ourselves with the ability to work through difficult scenarios while keeping our cool and communicating effectively with all parties involved in a transaction. This is why we are able to create lasting relationships and friends at the end of a sale.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
I moved to San Diego to attend San Diego State University when I was just 17 years old. Shortly after my first year at SDSU my father passed away from his battle with throat cancer. As I navigated through depression, working three jobs and going to college, I somehow found the resilience to keep going and create a successful life for myself. I ended up getting a full time opportunity at a real estate developer at 19 years old and pursued getting my real estate license. In 2000 I got my real estate license and started a full time career in real estate while going to school at night when all of my friends were having fun in college and going on trips. I worked my way up through being a sales person to running a whole construction customer service department in a largely male dominated field by age 23 and by 24 I was managing a team of on-site real estate sales associates. My determination to support myself and never give up or have to rely on someone else pushed me through my young adulthood and into my current life as a business owner.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
I try to approach every interaction with mindfulness and intention while working with all sides to make sure we get to the finish line with our clients. Never burn bridges. Always act with integrity and composure. Be kind and give people benefit of the doubt. Be a problem solver, not a complainer. It’s the small consistent things that build a good reputation in the real estate industry.
