Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Lisa Noland-Shalosky. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Lisa, appreciate you joining us today. Owning a business isn’t always glamorous and so most business owners we’ve connected with have shared that on tough days they sometimes wonder what it would have been like to have just had a regular job instead of all the responsibility of running a business. Have you ever felt that way?
Owning my own business has been one of the most rewarding experiences I have ever achieved. I have dedicated my life to working with spirit and over the past 11 years have shared my gift with clients all over the world. Whether I am providing help and healing messages to those grieving the loss of a loved one or guiding clients through difficult areas of life, my deep compassion and desire for helping others heal has a transformational affect and creates life changing experiences.
As a Medium, I connect clients to loved ones who have crossed over and are now in spirit. As a Psychic, I provide life guidance around every day issues including, relationships, career, family and home, finances and health. Using these gifts, I help clients navigate through these areas of life and the ever-changing outcomes and potentials.
By gently guiding clients through the discovery and releasing of blocks and limiting beliefs that keep them from expressing the greatest aspect of themselves and the fulfillment of their greatest wants, dreams, and desires. My ultimate goal is to empower clients to make choices that will give way to creating the greatest life possible for them, now and in the future.
All of this changed in December 2021 when I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. It was during my journey with cancer that I asked myself if I should just get a regular job. Why? I was truly struggling with how to show up for myself and even more so, how to show up for my clients. I believe that all illnesses begin in the etheric field first and if we don’t deal with the thoughts, feelings and emotions in that field, it will come into the body as a physical illness for us to experience. With that being said, what had I missed in my own journey to have to experience cancer? Having missed dealing with my own emotional issues that manifested as cancer, how could I ever help anyone else?
When I found myself dealing with all the emotions and physical pain of cancer treatments, I wasn’t sure how my clients would accept my journey. What I have found is an outpouring of love and acceptance. Through my journey, I developed an even deeper connection to spirit and real time experiences in the emotional, mental, spiritual, and physical pain that comes with a life-threatening illness. Since none of us are promised tomorrow, I personally can relate the importance of finding joy and gratitude in the work I do today. I’m doing what makes me happy, pursuing my passion and living authentically, creating a fulfilling life every day.
Lisa, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I grew up as a Baptist in a small town sheltered from all things spiritual. In my late teens, I became interested in the paranormal, got my first psychic reading, and had my first unexplained encounter with spirit at my apartment where I was living with a friend.
Fast forward to my late 30’s, during the month of August, I attended a Civil War Reenactment at a house called Prospect Place which was part of the underground railroad. Later that evening, I attended the ghost hunt that was being put on by the owner of the home. The evening started at 10pm, we spent the entire night (until 5am) with flashlights in hand roaming the halls and basement of this house built in the 1800’s and had so many bone chilling paranormal experiences (hair being pulled, being touched, hearing growling, to photos being taken that later showed orbs and so much more!). I returned to work that Monday and started telling a friend about all the crazy experiences that happened. To my surprise, he told me these things were happening because I was a Medium, that I could see dead people. That was the beginning of this amazing journey I’ve been on for almost twenty years.
That friend then became my mentor and introduced me to all things spiritual. In October of that same year, I attended a local psychic fair and was introduced to energy healing. I later became a student of the energy healing modality Pranic Healing. I can still remember the beginning class where I felt energy for the first time. The energy was tingling in the tip of my middle finger and in my excitement, I began flipping off the teacher. Needless to say we all had a good laugh.
I spent the next few years studying Pranic Healing and taking Psychic Mediumship development courses from many different teachers. During this time, I was still working a corporate job and doing readings for friends and family part time. In 2011, there was a transition of leadership in our company, and spirit was giving me the message that my time in that role was coming to an end. In February of 2012, my time in that corporate position ended and that afforded me the opportunity to pursue my work with Spirit full time.
After few years, I began working out of a Metaphysical store doing readings when I was asked by a client to teach them how to connect with spirit. That lead me to creating my first class titled Discovering Your Psychic Self and then a class titled Beginning Mediumship. In my pursuit to always improve on my own gifts and how I teach, in 2018 I immersed myself in a 9-month course and became a Certified Spiritual Advisor and Certified Master Teacher with the Lisa Williams International School of Spiritual Development. This has led to teaching and developing hundred’s of students to discover their own gifts of Psychic Mediumship.
I am proud of all the students I have taught and continue to teach. Some have gone on to become professional Psychic Mediums which is a great testament to the work I am doing. I do my best to give my clients the tools they need to do the work for themselves which sets me apart from others. I empower them to live their best life and move beyond the need to seek my guidance repeatedly and teach them to seek within for all the answers. When this is accomplished, I’ve done my job successfully.
What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
Referrals and word of mouth have been the best source of new clients for my work. Once I have helped someone on their path, from the Psychic or Mediumship perspective, they tell friends and family, and they tell more friends and family. I also participate in the Body Mind Spirit Expo twice a year that is held in Cincinnati, Ohio, and other local events. Business also comes from the classes I teach called Discovering Your Psychic Self and Beginning Mediumship, as well as a Psychic Mediumship Development Circle held once a month.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
What has helped build my reputation in this business is being relatable. I’ve dedicated my life to my work with spirit and over the past 11 years has shared this gift with clients all over the world. Whether I’m providing help and healing messages to those grieving the loss of a loved one or guiding clients through difficult areas of life, my deep compassion and desire for helping others heal has a transformational affect and creates life changing experiences.
