We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Lisa Malcolm a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Lisa, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What’s the kindest thing anyone has ever done for you?
As a more than twenty year veteran of the entertainment industry. I can confidently say it is one of the most competitive worlds to run a business in. Lynk PR has grown to be a powerhouse PR firm from the kindness of others. Kindness to me is shown in actions not in words through referrals from my clients, contacts, and colleagues to my firm. More than 90% of my business is from industry referral and word of mouth. I could not be more grateful for the belief others have placed in me to help them meet their PR goals.

How did you build your audience on social media?
With more social media platforms than ever before the most important thing for me to identify is where my audience lives on social media. I needed to asses who was watching where so I could reach my audience of potential clients. For my business it was predominately Instagram and Facebook. By concentrating my daily posting efforts on the top two platforms that are where my clients consume their social media I have been able to leverage those pages as source of business.
Have any books or other resources had a big impact on you?
I’m a serial listener to personal development books, and podcasts. I’m always listening for a great piece of advice I can incorporate into my day. One of my favorites is the Before Breakfast Podcast with Laura Vanderkam she shares bite sized time management tips that I love.
