We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Lisa Labozzo a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Lisa, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. One of our favorite things to hear about is stories around the nicest thing someone has done for someone else – what’s the nicest thing someone has ever done for you?
I had a few tight months with money and was falling upon despite times. I shared my heart with a close friend much like a sister to me. I remained faithful and in prayer that all would work out of the best. I was continuously taking on housesitting jobs for additional income aside from regular day job.
One day out of nowhere I had a Venmo notification of incoming monies. Upon opening the app on my phone there was $1,000 in my account. It was sent from my close sister like friend with a folding hands emoji. I sat in my car in complete surprise with extreme gratitude like never before. I knew this was heaven sent by the above.
From that day forward I was more compassionate of individual’s circumstances. I opened my heart and wallet to assist many in need without thanksgiving or acknowledgment.

Lisa, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
With nearly 20 years of experience I use reiki, a gentle hands on healing technique to help clients address traumas, reduce anxieties, and manage illness. By placing my hands lightly on or near the body I channel energy to activate the body’s natural ability to heal itself, offering a holistic approach to mind, body, and spiritual wellness.
My journey to becoming a healer began in 2006 after surviving a life-changing car accident. This near-death experience became a profound calling to heal myself and others. Since then I have trained as a reiki master practitioner and ordained minister, using my personal story to inspire and guide my clients on their path to healing.
I love helping my clients let go of the past and embrace new beginnings. One of my clients initially sought relief from chronic physical pain but discovered an emotional breakthrough along the way. Highlighting the deep transformative potential of my practice.
Healing Hand and Heart offer a variety of services, including individual reiki sessions (available in 60-90 minute options), intuitive healing with cord cutting, and group healing workshops. For added convenience, I provide virtual sessions, in-person house clearings, and gift certificates upon request

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
After my automobile accident (NDE) in October of 2006, my life changed overnight to a different one. I had just signed a contract for a VP position of Jolie shoes in California. After visiting a family friend in a nearby hospital, I was cut off on I-95. The car flipped twice and ended up in the ICU that evening. My plan for my future was changed instantly. Now my journey began surviving what I was not suppose to or at least what the doctors predicted. After a long journey of hospitalization with rehab and many prayers and my desire was to return to the women’s wholesale shoe business. However my path was already determined that my life would change to a spiritual healer that would assist those in need. After being administered hands on healing in the Stamford Hospital during my recovery, it all happened for reasons far beyond my understanding or planning.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
Upon accepting that my journey was to be a reiki master practitioner and intuitive healer, the upward climb began with perseverance, unwavering determination, and a deep belief in God. I began my certifications soon after my recovery of the accident. I was asked to practice Reiki with intuitive messages at a metaphysical store in Ridgefield, Ct.
That soon started a following of clients that still remain with me today. Out of nowhere, I received a call from
another practitioner that learned of a massage room in an acupuncturist’s office. I was hesitate but took the plunge and just like that I was a sole proprietor. After almost 4 years of practicing in Stamford, CT., a client recommended Humanly Suites in New Canaan, Ct. It was not on my radar nor had I planned to move the business.
But yet since another unforeseen opportunity arrived at my doorstep, I made the decision to move the business. It was one of the best decisions I could of ever made. Lots of referrals, many networking opportunities, not to mention the community was open to my service. I was written up in the New Canaan, Darien, and Rowayton Magazine. This allowed me more exposure in the local community as opening more doors to podcasts, as local online write-ups.
