Lisa, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Has your work ever been misunderstood or mischaracterized?
A lot of people think that I am unintelligent because of the content I create, They fail to realize I am a lifelong learner, successful entrepreneur and educated.
Lisa, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’ve always been creative. I have done a lot of musical theatre and I grew up acting, I wasn’t early on most social media apps, but I found success pretty fast with TikTok. As an entrepreneur who wanted to pursue a business that allowed for creativity and fun, it was a win-win. TikTok allowed me to get back to my creative, theatrical roots and find a community that was non judgemental. I have taken breaks here and there but plan to focus on my content creator & talent growth and career full time in 2023x
Can you share your view on NFTs? (Note: this is for education/entertainment purposes only, readers should not construe this as advice)
I love NFTs! In fact, I took time off of content creation to dive into Web3. I was a featured speaker at several NFT Conventions in 2022 and I plan to drop my own NFT collection in 2023. Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
When I first started TikTok I got a lot of trolls telling me to kill myself, it was shocking. I backed off the app for a few months and then decided – I don’t care anymore, I don’t care what other people think. I accept my authentic self and put it out there… other peoples opinions or misjudgments are not my responsibility. Also, I have had my TikTok banned wrongfully several times, it took a big toll on my mental health to be separated from my community, but I just continued creating and continued fighting to get it back. In the end, it’s all worked out. Lastly, follower count is just a number. Don’t worry about it, just create,
