We were lucky to catch up with Lisa J Haddad recently and have shared our conversation below.

Lisa J , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.

My HIGHNMIGHTY journey began in 2013, in my kitchen, with a desire to balance mental and physical health utilizing fitness and whole plants.
I was an avid gardener, a mom, and a health and fitness enthusiast. I began consuming cannabis to help treat chronic back pain that was exacerbated by my pregnancy.  Not only did my back pain feel better but my mind did too.  More research proved that everything I thought I knew about cannabis was wrong. This fueled my desire to learn more.  I began to grow a few plants, which turned into quite a few plants, beautiful craft cannabis, and a hell of a lot of premium trim. I was able to use my trim in research and development , to create quality and effective, natural skincare products.

I was very active in a health and fitness group and would share my creations.  I focused on quality products, beautiful packaging and information about cannabis and CBD skincare to maintain glowing healthy skin.  The demand for my products quickly spread by word of mouth, through my fitness network and beyond.  HIGHNMIGHTY was born with my first product,  HIGHNMIGHTY Eucalyptus Relief Balm.

Hi, my name is Lisa. Life is in motion, and HIGHNMIGHTY CBD Topicals are here to help you move with it.  Each HIGHNMIGHTY product was developed with intention to support muscles, joints, and beautiful glowing skin, to recover from working out, sports, parenting and living the hell out of life. We are woman owned, we are Long Beach local, and we hand pour each and every HIGHNMIGHTY originally formulated balm, budder and oil to share our passion for living this one and only HIGHNMIGHTYLIFE.

My HIGHNMIGHTY method of daily living began with my own desire to feel better mentally and physically. As a cannabis grower, I learned how vital it was to maintain a balanced environment for the plants to thrive. The same applies to us.

HIGHNMIGHTY is not just a CBD topical company; we are a community of strong, proud, and empowered minds. We believe that everyone deserves to feel powerful and unapologetically themself, and we’re here to support that journey.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?

I have had to pivot my business numerous times already. First entering the licensed cannabis market through dispensaries, HIGHNMIGHTY topicals were available in select locations in Long Beach and Orange County. The volatility in the cannabis market has been pretty extreme for everyone, from growers, to manufacturers, and brands. My love of plants and cannabis specifically is what started the brand and I wanted to represent that through dispensaries, but that also limited access to California.
