Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Lisa Gunshore. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Lisa, appreciate you joining us today. Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?
As an entrepreneur, I have taken many risks. The invitation to be adventurous comes daily since the 2020 pandemic. It was March of 2020 that I pulled together the women who supported me during my journey of self-discovery in order to provide global support. I had never been on YouTube and I had never been live. I did it and the first One Heart One Earth Global Healing Summit was produced. Two years later I have four summits and one conference under my belt and over 1200 videos on YouTube. Diving into those projects was risky. It was not as risky as creating my own community app and launching into a field I knew nothing about. My intuition told me to create an app, something that could connect us from anywhere in the world. A mobile app that shared support and resources for personal transformation.
As an empowerment coach and Ayurveda Practitioner, technology was not at the forefront of my thoughts. To create an app and build it myself was an adventure. I’d never said no to my intuition before. Even though it was risky, I took the leap.
It has been one year since I launched my first mobile app and there have been many learnings along the way. The risk has been worth it. I have a thriving community and a beautiful space where we support one another in our journey of self-discovery. This Spring I took another risk, I decided to re-brand my app and launch it out into the world on June 7th, 2022. The Buddhist Biohacker Portal has been risky, challenging, and deeply creative to develop. I am so glad I said YES.
Lisa, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I began my journey in 2006 when I opened my doors as an intuitive card reader. I had a career in fashion and left it all behind to pursue my own spiritual path and utilize my gifts to support others. A curious thing happens when you decide to heal others, you are really deciding to heal yourself. As I worked with people word began to spread and the more I supported others, the more I could not ignore the messages I was receiving for myself. I decided to leave my unhealthy relationship and went on a journey of self-discovery.
That journey led me to go and see the Dalai Lama speak in California in 2009. I proceeded to sign up as a volunteer and followed him for 7 years at 6 different events, giving service, and studying Tibetan Buddhism. During this time I also experienced a health crisis that led me to discover 22 food allergies, parasites, candida, and mold. I lost 97 pounds and found a new light in my life. I felt like I was myself for the first time. This health journey led me to study Ayurveda and Tibetan medicine, become a yoga instructor and dive into my body.
Today I am an empowerment coach with expertise in trans dimensional mediumship, Ayurveda, and Tibetan shamanism. I have always been a natural mystic and have had a deep connection to Spirit since I was a small child. For 15 years now I have shared my insight with clients around the globe to assist in transformation. My work on Buddhist Biohacker YouTube as producer of conscious content is my greatest passion and mission vehicle. My work is an extension of my vows taken with His Holiness the Dalai Lama. I advocate non-violence and the practice of compassion. As a Functional Ayurveda Wellness Coach, medium, and shaman, I supports the healing of your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual bodies through the teachings of genetic transformation and ancestral healing.
‘I serve as a bridge for Seekers who wish to connect to the unseen realms and unlock their gifts that enable clear vision of Truth. My actions, words, and intentions support the vitality and empowerment of others. I Am the Divine Feminine. What each individual sees in me; is inherent in them
Creating vitality in the body, an understanding of our ancestry and personal genome, and purifying in order to raise our frequency are the intent. Each private session, class, and circle are a sacred container for healing through personal reflection. The heart of my practice:
Quantum Femininity and Women’s Health
MTHFR, Mold exposure, Candida Overgrowth, Parasites
Shifting Supplementation to Natural Foods
Ancestral Healing
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
Resilience is defined as the capacity to recover quickly from difficulties. My experience with mold exposure is my moment of greatest resilience. With peripheral neuropathy in 85% of my body, my hair falling out, and a near death experience, I was still able to recover in a matter of months. I owe this to my spiritual and yoga practices that I learned over the past 15 years or more. The ability to meditate and remain calm kept my mind stable when it felt as though I was losing my ability to manage my body. My yoga practice supported my nervous system and was a factor in my healing my body and restoring strength and feeling to my legs. My trust in the Universe kept me going even when I thought I couldn’t. I am grateful for that time as it changed my life forever and inspired me to live true to myself.
If you could go back, would you choose the same profession, specialty, etc.?
I have lived a life of no regrets. I am grateful for this. Do I regret 20 years in fashion retail, picking up clothes, and working late nights? No. It was those years that developed my creativity and my understanding of branding. Do I regret leaving retail to go off and follow my spiritual path? No, it is those challenges that have made me stronger and have pushed me to research and understand how to be the best at what I do.
There is a yogi teaching that I hold dear. Even when you are doing the most menial work, you are still on your path and achieving your soul purpose. I love what I do as a Quantum coach today. I also remember many times I sat with women in the fitting rooms crying, or those moments my employees needed support in my office. Those were defining moments for me as a coach and have led me to who I am today.
No matter what you do now, you are still doing what you are meant to do.
