We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Lisa Frahm a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Lisa, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Alright – so having the idea is one thing, but going from idea to execution is where countless people drop the ball. Can you talk to us about your journey from idea to execution?
Four years ago, I never could have imagined where I’d be today. Back then, when I embarked on an unexpected journey of starting my flower farm, I literally planted seeds, unaware of what would become an intuitive, thriving business. It all began with a small flower farm nestled on our property in the suburbs of Denver. From those humble beginnings, I have literally blossomed and evolved, each step being a reflection of my growth, creativity and passion for everything that I do. What started as a love of gardening soon expanded into a full-service floral studio, crafting bespoke arrangements for clients in Parker and beyond. My natural, effortlessly beautiful florals quickly captured hearts, earning us multiple awards and recognitions. Soon our clients begging for me to offer full-service wedding florals, including on-site installations and tear-downs. As word spread, I found myself designing more for corporate events and private celebrations, impressing planners and clients alike with my exceptional design packages. This success in the event industry naturally evolved into Corporate and Private Event Consulting Services, where I take pride in offering a full spectrum of event planning and design. From the initial spark of inspiration to flawless execution, I am dedicated to crafting seamless, unforgettable experiences. Whether it’s a corporate gathering or an intimate celebration, I specialize in curating moments that elevate every occasion. The journey has been nothing short of magical, and I’m just getting started.
My latest career evolution stemmed directly from the feedback I received from our clients—whose expectations I have consistently exceeded. My continued success in weddings, corporate and private events, where my floral arrangements, design decks, and meticulously crafted timelines consistently impressed both clients and planners, led me to expand our offerings. As demand grew, it became evident that my clients desired more than just flowers; they wanted me to take charge of the entire event design and execution.
Having spent 16 years as a Licensed Architect before transitioning into the floral industry, this shift felt remarkably natural. Event planning, as it turns out, shares many similarities with architecture. Both begin with a concept, are translated onto paper, and are then brought to life through a carefully constructed foundation—selecting the ideal vendors and venues—followed by a precise orchestration of every detail to ensure the final product is both functional and awe-inspiring.
My ability to organize and execute with meticulous precision resonated deeply with our clients, leading them to entrust us with an increasing array of planning responsibilities. As a florist, I often found myself frustrated by the lack of collaboration and the fragmented information provided by other planners. Too many gaps remained unaddressed, leaving room for failure. I quickly gained recognition from some of the country’s top event planners, who praised my designs, presentations, and unparalleled professionalism—from my clear, conceptual proposals to the flawless execution of my events.
What sets my services apart is my commitment to introducing fresh, innovative vendors into the event planning process—something many planners overlook in favor of familiar faces. While relying on established relationships can feel comfortable, it often leads to predictable, uninspired events. It takes time, effort, and a discerning eye to assemble a curated team of vendors and select the perfect venue, but it is through this meticulous process that we create something truly exceptional. A trained eye can spot the diamond in a sea of rocks.
I thrive on embracing new challenges—whether it’s discovering exciting venues, building meaningful vendor relationships, or designing truly unforgettable experiences. With every step, I have learned, adapted, and grown. What began as a humble florist shop has now blossomed into a full-service event planning and design studio, and this is only the beginning of what we know will be an extraordinary journey.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
Building a reputation within the market has been a journey shaped by a relentless dedication to quality, professionalism, and an unwavering commitment to creating unique and seamless experiences. From the beginning, I have prioritized understanding my clients’ visions and translating them into thoughtful, well-executed designs based on their desires, not what I thought would get us the most attention.
My ability to consistently deliver on my promises, communicating on areas where I could offer improvement or an expanded depth of ideas, while exceeding client expectations, has cultivated trust and loyalty among my clients. I’ve built a reputation for being a reliable partner who listens intently and approaches each event with both artistry and strategic organization. My relationships with industry peers and vendors further enhance our credibility, as I am known for bringing fresh ideas to the table, all while maintaining a collaborative, high-standard approach. It’s this blend of creativity, precision, and a deep commitment to exceptional service that has solidified my standing in the market.
How do you keep your team’s morale high?
My approach to managing a team revolves around fostering a culture of collaboration, mutual respect, and adaptability. I firmly believe that understanding each team member’s individual strengths is key to maintaining high morale and a positive work environment. By taking the time to get to know my team personally, I can better align tasks with their passions and skills, ensuring they feel both valued and inspired. This personalized approach not only enhances their job satisfaction but also encourages a sense of belonging, which is vital for creating a motivated and cohesive team.
As a leader, I see myself as the thermostat for my team—the environment I create sets the tone and temperature of our work dynamic. I recognize that when the atmosphere is positive, open, and communicative, my team feels more comfortable navigating challenges and working through any situation. Being mindful of this allows me to foster a space where creativity flows freely, and everyone feels empowered to contribute their ideas and solutions. This approach not only keeps the team engaged but also cultivates a sense of trust that is essential for overcoming obstacles together.
One of the most important aspects of leadership is the ability to adapt when things don’t go as planned. In our industry, events rarely go exactly as expected, and challenges are inevitable. I maintain a calm, solutions-focused attitude, which helps keep the team grounded and confident when facing the unexpected. When obstacles arise, I make sure to keep communication open, and encourage everyone to approach the situation creatively, knowing that we can always find a way to make things work. This ability to pivot and stay focused on the end goal helps keep the team motivated, even during difficult moments, and fosters a sense of resilience and unity.
Ultimately, the key to managing a successful team is balancing strong leadership with a deep respect for each individual’s contribution. By creating an environment where people feel supported, inspired, and appreciated, we can continue to deliver exceptional results while keeping morale high and the team excited about the work we do together, even in an industry that can at times be very stressful.
