We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Lisa Fackler a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Lisa thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s start with the decision of whether to donate a percentage of sales to an organization or cause – we’d love to hear the backstory of how you thought through this.
We do donate to a great organization! Our local Williams County Humane Society! We love all the animals and we appreciate all of the time and care that the people give to finding the animals a home. I typically purchase some items that the Humane Society is in need of, however just recently, I combined some couples and was able to sponsor a dog adoption!

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
My husband and I own a wedding venue and a first generation Christmas tree farm. The relationships that have evolved is amazing and has surprised me at how many friendships I have gained! We solve couples wedding issues ~ I listen to what they want and help them to have it for their special day. We provide a relaxed, tranquil area and everyone loves the ambience! We have created and built everything on our venue/farm and will continue to add and improve. The most thing I am proud of is when people tell me “You really pay attention to every detail” My belief is ~ The little details are the big details and how you do one thing, is how you do everything!

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
I started a Facebook and Instagram page when we first started building and built an audience. I showed them projects we were working on and connected with them. YOU are your brand! There are people out there like you and those are the people you will attract. Not everyone will like you and that is ok! Connect with the ones you like! So far, I have only used organic advertising.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
Being authentic and honest. I have never pretended to be someone I wasn’t.
