Lisa, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s start with a story that highlights an important way in which your brand diverges from the industry standard.
As a beauty artist, I take a different approach by focusing on niche treatments rather than trying to offer every trend that comes my way. While it’s tempting to jump on every new service seen on social media, I believe that true quality service comes from specialization. Over the years, I’ve honed my skills in just two specific treatments, which has significantly enhanced both my knowledge and the quality of service I provide.
I do keep an eye on emerging treatments and trends, but I take the time to research and evaluate their effectiveness before deciding to incorporate them into my offerings. This ensures that I only provide services that truly benefit my clients.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I began my journey in the beauty industry years ago as a hairstylist on the East Coast. I then moved to Los Angeles and shifted my focus to fashion for the next decade. However, I soon realized how much I missed the creative aspects of beauty, which led me to explore new treatments that I found interesting. That’s when I discovered lash lifts and brow lamination—services that perfectly complemented my background in hair.
I’m passionate about extensive research and continually seek ways to enhance the treatments I offer. This has led me to not only improve on my techniques but also to teach others and engage in product development. Each product I’m currently working on has emerged from conversations with clients about their needs and desires for their beauty routines.

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
As a lash and brow artist, my best source of new clients has been the strong relationships I’ve built within the beauty community. Clients often seek my expertise not just for lash and brow services but for all things health and beauty, including recommendations for products, hairstylists, and health professionals. When I launched my business, I focused on connecting with fellow artists and influencers in the industry. Their support and trust have been invaluable, and they often refer their clients to me. I’m truly grateful for these connections, as they’ve been instrumental in growing my clientele.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
I believe my reputation in the market comes from my commitment to quality and expertise. By focusing on just two services that I genuinely believe in, I can deliver exceptional results for my clients. I take the time to research and ensure I’m not just following every beauty trend that comes along. This niche approach allows me to provide beautiful results as well as insights into the science behind my services. I share my knowledge through videos on social media, which helps fellow artists, clients, and potential clients understand my passion and dedication to the industry. This authenticity has really resonated with my audience and contributed to my reputation.
