We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Lisa Biggins a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Lisa, appreciate you joining us today. Showing clients you appreciate them is something I think most folks want to do – but it’s not always clear how to do it in a meaningful way. What’s one of the best examples of client appreciation you can share with us?
As a Realtor of buyers mostly thus far, I enjoy getting to know my clients. Not just want they want on a home but what are thier dreams for the home. what are their plans. Some Clients it is a first time home buyer tha will only be in the home a few years others they have fought to get into that home. Every journey is different the ups the down the emotion behind such a huge decision. I had client that this would be not only their first home purchase. They both had a unique story and had many challenges in life. they had saved and focused and this purchase was a BIG deal. I learned what they wanted to do in the back yard, how she wanted to decorate her kitchen and the themes of each bedroom. At closing I was able to find a the perfect large picture for her living room that she had been wanting….. This was a small gesture but made her and I both tear up know that they had crossed this new finish line and were ready to start a new fresh chapter.

Lisa, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My name is Lisa Biggins, and I’m a Realtor based in Summerville, South Carolina. I’m also a wife, a mom of four, and a woman of faith — and all of those roles shape the way I serve my clients.
My journey into real estate began when my family moved across the country from Washington State. Experiencing the stress, emotions, and excitement of relocating firsthand made me want to help other families navigate that same process with support, honesty, and care.
Today, I focus on helping buyers — especially those relocating — understand not just the homes here, but the lifestyle: neighborhoods, schools, builders, HOAs, flood zones, and everything that makes the Lowcountry special. I also guide sellers with clear pricing strategies and a smooth, well-communicated process.
What sets me apart is my relationship-first, faith-guided approach. I take time to learn not only what my clients want in a home, but the dreams and plans they have for their life inside it. I celebrate their milestones, advocate for their needs, and stay connected long after closing.
I’m most proud of the connections I’ve built — the families starting new chapters, the first-time buyers achieving something they once thought impossible, the trust my clients place in me.
What I want people to know is simple:
I care deeply, I work hard, and I’m never too busy for you or your referrals.
If you’re looking for a Realtor who will walk with you every step of the way — that’s me.

Have you ever had to pivot?
When I was younger, I always knew I wanted to help people. I’ve always loved connecting with others, and for a long time I thought nursing would be the path. I went to nursing school early in life, but long story short — I didn’t make it through the program. Instead, I became a stay-at-home mom to four little ones, two of whom had special medical needs.
Life rarely goes the way we plan, but I’ve learned to trust the Lord with every part of the journey. Looking back, it all worked out exactly the way it was meant to. Those years at home, caring for my family, shaped my heart, my patience, and my purpose — and led me right where I’m supposed to be today.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
I have a daughter who was diagnosed with Crohn’s, colitis, and celiac disease at just seven years old. She was malnourished, weak, and it was one of the hardest seasons of our lives. We had to relearn everything — how to cook, how to prepare food safely, how to navigate cross-contamination, and how to rethink simple things like restaurants, birthday parties, and family gatherings.
But through it all, we leaned on the Lord. We trusted Him with every step, and we were blessed with an incredible community that surrounded us with support. Today, she’s in college, still receiving regular treatments, but she’s thriving — strong, independent, and living a full life.
Years later, our third daughter, who was ten at the time, was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. Unlike many T1D cases that are caught early, hers progressed before we understood what was happening, and she became very sick. After a hospital stay and a crash course in an entirely new lifestyle, we started again — learning how to care for her, how to manage the disease, and how to build a new “normal.”
Having sick kids is one of the hardest things a parent can walk through. But watching them persevere — watching them refuse to let these challenges define them — is incredible. My T1D warrior is now in 8th grade, managing most of her care on her own, with just a few reminders from mom and dad.
Their strength has shaped me deeply — as a mom, as a woman of faith, and as a Realtor who understands what families go through and what home truly means.
