We recently connected with Lindy Pearson and have shared our conversation below.
Lindy, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Risking taking is a huge part of most people’s story but too often society overlooks those risks and only focuses on where you are today. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – it could be a big risk or a small one – but walk us through the backstory.
Throughout my professional journey, I dedicated myself to work before starting a family at 26. After a hiatus to focus on my children, I reentered the workforce at 31, joining my husband in the Commercial Real Estate industry for a dozen years. When the pandemic struck, the industry faced threats, particularly my position. I took charge by organizing virtual events and fostering networking opportunities, adapting to an era where in-person meetings were rare, especially in Los Angeles.
Instead of disparity, I dove deeper into my yoga practice, seeking healing for my body, mind, and soul. What was once merely a routine evolved into a calling after my certification. Driven by my passion for connection, support, and love, I created a sanctuary through yoga classes held everywhere from my backyard to the beach, spreading joy and positivity.
Transitioning from a career in CRE to teaching yoga was not without challenges, especially balancing familial responsibilities. However, every moment spent teaching or engaging in spiritual practices ignited a sense of fulfillment. Word spread, clientele grew, and my retreat business blossomed, blending my love for travel with spiritual rejuvenation.
While I was blending yoga projects with my CRE commitments, a trip to the sacred valley and enchanting locations like Machu Picchu and the Galapagos Islands recharged my spirit. An encounter with Jen Hamilton, at a local studio sparked a partnership that led to the birth of a retreat division at Oxygen Yoga, where I now serve as the director.
Today, my business card proudly reflects my passion for yoga. Embracing growth and continued learning, I look forward to expanding my horizons. My journey has been centered on empowerment, enrichment, and enlightenment, bringing me a sense of clarity and purpose. I have discovered this connection within, eager to share this gift with my community and break mental barriers as a part of their support system. Excited for the journey ahead, I anticipate the unfolding of new chapters filled with transformation and boundless possibilities.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Lindy is an LA native, who studied at UCSB and was raised in corporate America. She has a fierce love for her family & friends, travel, yoga and meditation.
It wasn’t until 2009 when she was searching for ways to heal her body and mind, when she ultimately discovered her soul. She has always had a love for mindfulness and excitement around how she can be a part of someone’s support system to help break mental barriers.
Lindy has been practicing yoga and meditation throughout her travels for the last two decades. During her journey of self-discovery she began to combine her passions for travel and spiritual wellness, and began creating and sharing these experiences with others. All of the paths that she has been on are focused on continued learning, empowerment, enrichment, and expansion. This lifestyle has unfolded into transformation and the ultimate freedom of mental clarity and enlightenment.
After receiving her 200 hour Tantric Yoga Certification, it felt like she came home to a part of herself that she was unaware was missing and she couldn’t wait to share this magical gift with her community. She currently teaches at Oxygen Yoga & Fitness Studio in Calabasas and Sunday afternoons are usually spent at the beach soaking up the vitamin D.
Lindy believes that rediscovery means everything. Her flow prepares you to expand your heart, intellect and emotions. The arrival of the vibrational pull has given her the strength, courage and ability to manifest her goals and ultimately share her gift with you.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
In 2018, I had the honor of crossing paths with Mark Rodriguez, the visionary behind MasterMynd Media. This encounter proved to be a pivotal moment that reshaped my entire outlook on social media.
As I scrolled through countless accounts showcasing what appeared to be “success,” I found myself questioning how I could measure up to such seemingly flawless standards. Mark shared a piece of wisdom that resonated with me: “Consistently provide value in every piece of content you create.”
His words struck a chord, highlighting the significance of infusing my core essence, principles, and unique offerings into all my content. Building an authentic bond of trust and resonance with your audience holds importance. In a world teeming with competitiveness and oversaturation across industries, articulating to your audience why they should choose you is essential. By letting your genuine worth shine through, you carve out your distinct identity amidst the crowd, fostering a deep and meaningful connection with your audience.
I learned that authenticity and vulnerability were key ingredients that attracted attention and fueled my success. This did not come naturally to me at all. A camera always on me capturing all the moments was a bit overwhelming in the beginning. But after I let my guard down, embraced transparency, and authentically portrayed myself, that’s when the magic began to unfold. Workshops filled up, inquiries started coming in, and sales started to materialize. It became clear that true success far exceeds follower counts and influencer status; it’s about sharing content that enriches lives and contributes to a better world. It’s about embodying the spirit of yoga both on and off the mat, practicing authenticity and spreading positivity wherever you go.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
A lesson I had to unlearn was the ingrained belief that business always comes first and that fun is secondary. Growing up, my worth was tied to productivity, achievements, and constantly working hard. This mindset led to a life lacking in laughter, community, and personal connections. Even though it kept me organized and driven, it left little room for creativity and passion to flourish.
The turning point came when I became a mother to my two children. Watching them have fun in the simple joys of life, embracing play, learning, and curiosity, opened my eyes to a different perspective. It was through them that I rediscovered the importance of being present, enjoying the moment, and truly experiencing life.
Yoga and meditation have been constant companions on my journey. Stepping onto my mat initiates a magical transformation where my body and mind align, finding peace and grounding. It allows me to connect with my deepest desires, emotions, and expressions in a profound way.
Unlearning the need to constantly impress or achieve was liberating. I realized that what I truly needed was a reset, a reconnection, and a strong support system that nurtured my soul. Teaching yoga, running retreats, and working in studios shifted my focus from external validation to inner fulfillment. I discovered that true wellness stems from prioritizing our own needs before anything else.
This path of yoga has brought me immense joy and fulfillment. Embracing my true self, feeling fantastic in my own skin, and spreading love both on and off the mat is a gift I cherish. Sharing my journey and experiences has become a way to contribute positively to the world around me, making every interaction a chance to make a difference.
