Lindsie, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Crazy stuff happening is almost as certain as death and taxes – it’s technically “unexpected” but something unexpected happening is to be expected and so can you share a crazy story with our readers

I had a client that I was doing a general reading for at a psychic fair. I was reading about her Chiron (the asteroid ruling healing, pain, and trauma) which was in her 9th house of the grandparents. She said that her grandfather who raised her had passed away and she always held the guilt of not knowing that he had needed help. I had a vision of this elderly man in a plaid shirt with dark, sun-tanned skin. He was smiling and had the most vibrant energy about him. I saw him appear next to her shoulder. He then showed me a cherry picker and him falling and passing away. I hesitated to tell her at first. I fessed up the courage and went for it. She bursts into tears and pulled out her phone. She had a picture of him smiling with tanned skin wearing his favorite plaid shirt. She said he wore that shirt almost every day. She said that he had fallen from a ladder while trimming trees due to a heart attack. His message was to let it go because he died in his happy place. She said that plot of land was truly his tranquil spot. She said a weight was lifted off of her shoulders from then on!

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?

I had to learn that healing starts with me. I can’t help other people if I’m stressed out and unhealthy. It’s so easy for us to put others before ourselves because we have a true desire to have a positive impact on the lives of others. It truly starts with us though! I had to start taking care of myself spiritually, physically, and emotionally more. Being a wounded healer wouldn’t help anyone. It’s all part of walking the walk and not just talking the talk! Someone could easily talk about health and spirituality all day, but doing it is another thing. You can meditate all day, but if you yell at everyone in traffic, are you really improving or are you just letting your ego think you are? We have to heal ourselves before we can help anyone else! I still have clients stories that bring up parts of myself for healing and I’ve learned to embrace that. The universe is always guiding us. We just have to listen!

Can you talk to us about how your side-hustle turned into something more.

I was working full-time as a store manager when I first learned the art of astrology. I had been practicing Reiki at a nearby business for years, but I didn’t earn enough to support myself financially yet. When March of 2020 came around, my work shut down for awhile. I took a big risk by investing money into a certification course with the American Federation of Astrologers. It was a huge risk because I was temporarily out of work and I’d already spent years trying to build up my Reiki business. I fell in love immediately! I completed the course just short of record time. I was immersed in astrology. When I went back to work, I realized how unhappy I was. I decided to take a risk and go for it. I put in my two weeks notice soon after returning to work. I planned to move to my Venus MC line where my career could take off. Our boxes were packed and we were ready to go! A few weeks before we were ready to pack up your moving truck, my husband came home unexpectedly. He told me that his job had shut down without notice. There was no job for us in our new hometown. We had to backtrack and start over. Now, we were both unemployed. I worked day and night trying to make ends meet. I even picked up freelance jobs online through Upwork. I’m blessed to say that my husband and I both own are own thriving businesses now!
