We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Lindsey Stringer. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Lindsey below.
Lindsey, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?
My most meaningful project has been my upcoming album Anastasia’s Dream. It is set to release on November 3rd. This project represents light, healing, and faith. Through my music, I share my personal journey with God, learning to love myself, and overcoming pain from unhealthy relationships and self-doubt.
Creating this album took strength and perseverance. There were days when I did not feel supported or confident, yet I pushed myself to record, to plan the photo shoot, and to finish what I started. Every song became a reflection of growth, resilience, and renewal. As an independent artist, it can feel like no one is listening, but Anastasia’s Dream taught me that purpose is more important than popularity. My goal is to create something positive that helps people connect with God, love themselves, and find peace through faith.

Lindsey, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I am a creator who turns pain into purpose and faith into art. Everything I do reflects growth, healing, and authenticity. Through my website, LindseyAnastasia.com, I share my world of music, film, books, and fashion. My goal is to give people something real; something that reminds them that healing and self-love are possible when you walk with faith.
As an author, I have published “My Strength Was On Its Way” and “It’s Giving Self Love, Baby.” Both books share my personal journey of overcoming trauma, rebuilding my relationship with God, and learning to love myself. Writing them helped me heal, and I hope they do the same for others who read them.
In my music, I tell stories about transformation, womanhood, and faith. I have released “Self Love, Part 1” the EP, “Self Love, Part 2 Finale” the album, and a Christmas album that celebrates light and peace. My new project “Anastasia’s Dream” releases November 3rd. It represents a new beginning for me as both an artist and a woman. It also introduces my creative alter ego, Eloura, who expresses the side of me that is experimental, powerful, and free.
Film has also become a deep passion of mine. I wrote, directed, and produced “Memories You Killed,” a story that blends faith, fear, and redemption. It is both a spiritual message and a reflection of my strength as an independent artist. I have also been part of other projects such as “Summer 09” with Joey King and “Waterboyz” with Lil Boosie. Each experience taught me something new about storytelling and perseverance.
Beyond my creative work, I have hosted and funded back-to-school drives for children in need. Giving back is just as important to me as creating art. I want to continue expanding those efforts with the support of investors and partners who believe in community, purpose, and impact.
My mission is to make art that uplifts the soul, strengthens faith, and encourages people to believe in themselves. What sets me apart is my honesty, my resilience, and my heart. I do not chase validation; I create from truth. Every song, film, and book I release is a piece of my journey, and I hope that by sharing it, I inspire others to dream, to heal, and to keep going.

Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative?
I think what many non-creatives struggle to understand is that being an artist is more than a dream; it is a calling. People often assume it is easy or that success happens overnight, but it takes faith, consistency, and emotional strength. There were moments when I felt unseen or unheard, but I still kept creating. Art is not just about talent; it is about courage. I had to learn to trust my voice even when others doubted me.
Many people chase what is safe or familiar, but creativity is about walking into the unknown. It is about saying what others are afraid to say and expressing emotions that people keep hidden. Some of my most powerful songs came from my lowest moments. When people listen to my music, I want them to feel something real, even if they do not fully understand my story. I believe that is the bridge between artists and the world; vulnerability that becomes strength.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
When I first started doing music, I had just come out of the military and was going through a divorce. I returned from Memphis with only forty dollars to my name. I stayed with my grandmother because I had no job, no plan, and no support. My family and friends told me I would never make money doing music. They said I could not sing and that I was wasting my time. I could have believed them, but instead, I believed in myself.
I started performing at Eddie’s Attic in Decatur. I did not have a band, instruments, or any backup; I just used my voice and had the audience clap their hands. That was the moment I knew this was what I was meant to do. After that, I began driving for Uber and used the money I made to fund my shows, record music, and build my name. No one told me how to do it; I just figured it out.
That pivot changed everything. It taught me that sometimes you have to bet on yourself when no one else will. Now, I look back and realize that moment was the foundation for everything I am building today. It was the beginning of my purpose.
