We were lucky to catch up with Lindsey Pattee recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Lindsey, thanks for joining us today. If you could go back in time do you wish you had started your business sooner or later
I started a business in my late 30’s and I would say I don’t wish I would’ve started sooner or later! As cliché as it sounds, I am a firm believer in that everything happens for a reason. There’s a reason I had almost 20 years of experience in marketing, corporate settings, working for someone else, etc. It has taught me a ton of valuable lessons that have directly impacted my business today.
Now, that isn’t to say that everyone should wait and choose the same path that I chose, to each their own! It was just the right timing/right place sort of thing.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
The Fab Tap started during the pandemic (crazy to think of the fact the pandemic was the precursor to a lot of small businesses, to-date)! The pandemic set me into a bit of a self-doubt spiral, where I was questioning my path and how I wanted to live life. I was in deep depression, was riddled with anxiety and ultimately led me to think of the evolution of my life. Furthermore, I, along with many other people, was yearning for connection with friends + family. So, I started thinking of things that I could do that would bring an unforgettable experience, convenience and joy to all celebrations. That is how Fab Tap, A mobile experience/bar company started!
We started out with our vintage Airstream that was turned into a show-stopping & elegant bar. Since launch (in early 2020 customer-facing), we have launched 2 additional bars which are both a first of their kind and one is patent pending.
We mainly offer mobile bartending services, coupled with various add-ons to elevate any celebration! We want to be a part of all celebrations from weddings to corporate events and anything in-between.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
Showing up consistently and giving each event 100%, regardless of the event type, budget, etc. We have made it our effort to treat each customer and event like their our own and truly feel that is why we have such an amazing repeat/referral-base. I have also made amazing friends along the way that have acted as brand ambassadors for us in the best way possible. I am forever grateful for them!
One example: We had a client that we executed their Homecoming event in year 1 and within 2 years she has not only booked us 3 more times, but has also provided countless referrals along the way. She’s sort of turned into our Fab Tap brand ambassador / friend that I am forever grateful for! Becky – you are Fab!
Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?
It seems so silly, but we are actively on social media and always make it a point to talk about our clients’ events, truly engage with them on social + check in with them periodically to see how they are doing. Each relationship/client puts their trust in us for their big celebration, and for some reason, it brings me close to them!
