We were lucky to catch up with Lindsey Nielsen recently and have shared our conversation below.
Lindsey, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?
Coming from a background where I did not grow up with things being handed to me I believe has served me very well in my adult life. I have understood that a steady hard work ethic is what it will take to continue to build my success and growth with my company.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I have always absolutely loved putting events together, whether it was for family events, friends birthdays, or work functions that was my area to thrive. So, I decided to really step into that in my spare time and maximize on it by creating So Inflated! I create a fun, bubbly, creative space with balloon garlands, backdrops, and adding that cherry on top of the cake at an event. The problems I have solved for my clients are coming up with a creative plan to make their event the most memorable along with the space or vision to make that a reality The thing that sets me apart from others is my creative perspective, personality, and work ethic. My brand is being me and letting that shine through to make the event so fun and one to remember.
What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
Social media has been pivotal in sourcing new clients. I also rely very heavily on word of mouth, which I am extremely grateful to have such a supportive network of friends, family, and acquaintances. I also have worked extremely hard in networking with local groups, this has been a great way to continue to get the word out about what I have to offer.
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
I have a corporate career, so managing the duality of owning a business full time in addition to my career is a major challenge. I have absolute dedication to my corporate brand and my personal business brand. Knowing that I have had to create this structure for myself as well as being a mother has definitely tested me in so many ways. I am grateful for the support of my family and the resilience I have to push to make them both so successful is something I know I can accomplish.
