Lindsey, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s start with a story that highlights an important way in which your brand diverges from the industry standard.

One major think that sets Aera apart is our uniqueness on our lash boxes. We focus on creating unique lash boxes that can represent different types of women and showcase how it is okay to be your own unique self while still being a united women front. Each of our at home lash extensions boxes have a detailed story behind them representing a different “aera” which in actuality is representing a different type of women we know, love and interact with everyday. We have our Outlaw lash for those rebel wild souls, our Wildflower for our hippie loving groovy besties and Bombshell for our beauty lovers who enjoy showcasing their gorgeous selves! We have over ten lash boxes that all uniquely show a different type of women.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

Well Hi! My name is Lindsey McClafferty! I am a wife, and a mother of three! I have my Bachelors and Masters degree from Grand Canyon University and I am a Arizona born and raised! I love everything about beauty and lost myself a little after my second daughter was born. I developed PPD and was really looking for a way to make me feel like myself again but with the little time and money I had as a mom to three! Then came At Home Lash Extensions. I have worn lashes for years and had adventured to the permanent lash extensions but had to stop after one I developed a sensitivity to them but also I just no longer had the time to make my appointments and couldn’t justify the price anymore. I wanted to create something other mom’s and busy individuals could use that wouldn’t take up a lot of time and also was affordable. Aera Lashes creates At Home Lash Extensions that take only ten minutes to apply and last for 7-10+ days! Perfect for a busy on the go mama that is looking to feel a little more put together.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?

We are still growing everyday, but one of my major tips of advice is consistency and hiring an expert to fill in the gaps! You can be doing everything that you think is correct but with one small tweak your business can boom, and recently that is what has happened to us! We’ve expanded so much in the past few months and it has changed our business immensely, in the best way! Aside from hiring a professional to help with the technicals of everything, reaching out to influencers and gifting products is another great way. If they love your product they will want to share, and sometimes you may send it to someone that doesn’t like it and thats okay but doing this has really helped us grow and spread the word of our business. Lastly just getting to know your audience. Creating relationships with your customers builds a level of friendship and trust that makes them feel more involved with your company and creates life long customers.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?

Honesty! We are very transparent and honest with our customers, if we made a mistake we fix it. If something was missed we correct it. We take ownership and always fix the problem. Recently we have had a large increase in business and due to that it sold out a lot of our products. We have been very open with it on our website and to our customers letting them know what’s going on, when they can expect a restock and offering them help to find similar styles in the mean time. Just being honest and open creates a great reputation with the community and it makes them trust you and trust your products. People buy for products yes but a lot of times people buy from you / the company. If they like YOU the business owner or YOU the company and what they have to offer they will continue to be loyal, trust you and your reputation with the community will continue to grow.
