Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Lindsey Marie Greeley . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Lindsey Marie, thanks for joining us today. The first dollar your business earns is always special and we’d love to hear how your brand made its first dollar of revenue.
Getting my first client happen to be by chance, I was completing in building at the time. I was only weeks out from a competition, I started my first personal training job at Xsport fitness. I was working out and I had two girls come up to me mid leg day that they wanted to train with me. From there it really started with me working out, then I got an Instagram following my accident. From there that’s where I took off getting clients based upon name

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I was 16 years old when I got into the fitness industry, I competed in my first bodybuilding show at age 17. From there I fell in love with fitness and the feeling it gave me to feel better about myself. I competed in bodybuilding up until 2018 where I did my last show after getting very sick. I made some life altering decision in my bodybuilding career that caught up to me at some point. I remember laying in a hospital bed so badly dehydrated, my muscle enzyme levels were through the roof from over training and how harsh that prep was on my body.. I was sitting there in shape but unhealthy about to go into liver failure if I didn’t change my life around. After that I fell into a deep depression who was I without bodybuilding? What other way to get in shape if I am not bodybuilding. I developed severe body dysmorphia, an eating disorder where I made myself binge eat then make myself throw up. After years of trying to “crack the code” and undo all the metabolic damage I did to myself. I had uncontrollable weight gain for 2 years off and on. It wasn’t until I moved to California for a fresh start where I found BODY RECOMPOSITION. Everyone always talks about loosing weight or gaining weight. But what about transforming your physique building muscle and loosing body fat at the same time. After developing my program, I quickly started to realize this is the new wave of trying to teach people LIFESTYLE vs temporary goal. Too many of us are caught up on I need to loose weight for this event or that event. I want to be able to show people there is a different way to fitness if you just put in the hard work for 8-12 weeks you will set yourself up for long term success. I am most proud of my character and moral code. I got into the industry as a young broken depressed little girl and I grew into the fitness industry I became a woman who wanted to feel her best and look her best while teaching others how to do the same. Too many of us live in a body we hate, year after year we continue to complain about the body and settle for the excuses we keep giving ourselves. We live in a delusional generation where people will tell you health and wellness isn’t a priority and loving the body you are in is key. When thats the furthest thing from the truth, we need to prioritize our health more than just looking good but to be able to move, not be in a walker at age 65. I want to touch as many peoples lives changing one body at a time diminishing those excuses and developing the confidence to become the best version of themselves

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
A lesson I had to unlearn in the fitness industry is staying in your comfort zone. I am a very comfortable person when I find what works I keep it working. After my first couple years in the fitness industry I quickly realized you need to find your neish and what type of sessions you can provide. But ou always need to be evolving, growing and learning. Staying up to date on certifications, going to events and various expos to see whats the next step in the industry to excel and for you to become a better trainer.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
I was involved in a tragic car accident 2 years ago where I almost lost my life. I walked away from that accident with one scratch on me. And I knew as I got myself out of the car I was meant for greater things and god saved me from that car to save others fro being trapped inside a body they were never meant to be trapped in.
